We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, grieving over the path you have described, for it is one that leads away from God’s holy design and into the bondage of sin. The Scripture is clear that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we are called to honor God with them. "Don’t you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s" (1 Corinthians 6:19-20, WEB).
What you are engaging in is not only harmful to your soul but is also a form of prostitution, which the Bible strongly condemns. "Or don’t you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God’s Kingdom? Don’t be deceived. Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor male prostitutes, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor extortionists, will inherit God’s Kingdom" (1 Corinthians 6:9-10, WEB). This is not a path of freedom but one of destruction, and the enemy seeks to keep you trapped in this addiction. Yet, there is hope in Jesus Christ, who came to set the captives free!
We also notice that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus, and we must emphasize that there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved. "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12, WEB). If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus Christ, we urge you to do so now. Confess your sins, turn away from this lifestyle, and place your faith in Him. He alone can break the chains of addiction and give you a new life.
Repentance is the first step toward freedom. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9, WEB). Turn away from this sin, and seek God’s forgiveness with a sincere heart. He is waiting to restore you and give you a future filled with His purpose.
We also encourage you to seek help from a Bible-believing church or a Christian counselor who can walk with you through this journey of repentance and healing. You do not have to face this alone—God has placed His people in your life to support and uplift you. "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective" (James 5:16, WEB).
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we lift up this precious soul to You, knowing that You alone can break the chains of addiction and sin. Lord, we ask that You convict their heart of the wrong they are doing and draw them into a deep repentance. Father, forgive them for the sins they have committed, and cleanse them from all unrighteousness. We pray that You would open their eyes to see the destruction this path leads to and give them the strength to turn away from it completely.
Lord Jesus, we ask that You would fill the void in their heart with Your love and peace. Replace their addiction with a hunger for Your Word and a desire to live righteously. Surround them with godly people who will encourage them, hold them accountable, and walk with them toward healing. Break every stronghold of the enemy in their life, and set them free by the power of Your name.
Father, if they have not yet surrendered their life to You, we pray that today would be the day of salvation for them. May they confess Jesus as Lord and believe in their heart that You raised Him from the dead. Let them experience the transforming power of Your grace and mercy.
We also pray for provision, Lord. You know their needs, and we ask that You would provide for them in a way that honors You. Help them to trust in You rather than in the temporary and sinful means they have been using to sustain themselves.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we rebuke the spirit of addiction, the spirit of lust, and the spirit of greed that has taken hold. We command these spirits to flee, and we declare freedom and restoration over this life. May they walk in the newness of life that only You can provide.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer and for the work You are already doing. May Your will be done in their life, and may they bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
We urge you to take this prayer seriously and act upon it. Turn to Jesus today, and let Him lead you out of this darkness. He is waiting for you with open arms. "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light" (Matthew 11:28-30, WEB). Seek Him now, and He will give you the strength to walk away from this life and into the abundant life He has prepared for you.
