Disciple of Prayer
My child who is ### yrs old is addicted to phone, and using bad words falling into bad friends company. Pls prayer father to come out of such bad habits. Thanks father.

We come before the Lord with heavy yet hopeful hearts, lifting up this precious child who is struggling with the snares of this world. The enemy seeks to devour our young ones through distractions, ungodly influences, and the corruption of speech, but we know that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). The battle for this child’s heart and mind is spiritual, and we must fight it with the weapons of prayer, Scripture, and godly discipline.

First, we must address the absence of the name of Jesus in this request. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is only through Christ that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). We urge you to always approach the throne of grace in the name of Jesus, for He is our Mediator and the only way to the Father. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Christ, we implore you to do so now. "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved" (Romans 10:9). Without faith in Jesus, our prayers lack the power and authority given to us through His name.

Now, let us turn to the struggles of this child. The addiction to the phone is a modern-day idol, stealing time, focus, and innocence. Bad language and ungodly friendships are signs of a heart that is being led astray by the influences of the world. The Bible warns us, "Don’t be deceived! ‘Evil companionships corrupt good morals’" (1 Corinthians 15:33). We must pray not only for the child’s deliverance but also for the parents to take bold, biblical action in guiding and disciplining them.

Proverbs 22:6 instructs us, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." This training requires intentionality—setting boundaries, monitoring influences, and teaching the Word of God daily. If the phone has become an idol, it may need to be removed or strictly limited. If friendships are leading the child into sin, those relationships must be severed or closely supervised. Parents, you are the stewards of this child’s soul, and God will hold you accountable for how you guide them (Ephesians 6:4).

We also urge you to examine the spiritual atmosphere of your home. Are you praying together as a family? Are you reading Scripture and worshipping the Lord in your household? The battle for this child’s heart begins with the parents’ surrender to Christ and their commitment to raising them in His ways. "You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up" (Deuteronomy 6:7).

Let us pray fervently for this child and their family:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this child who is ensnared by the distractions and corruptions of this world. Lord, You see their heart, and You know the struggles they face. We ask that You break every chain of addiction to their phone, that You would give them a distaste for ungodly speech, and that You would sever every unholy friendship that is leading them astray. Father, convict their heart of sin and draw them to Yourself. Let them encounter Your presence in a way that transforms their desires and aligns them with Your will.

We pray for the parents, Lord. Give them wisdom, courage, and discernment to lead this child in Your ways. Help them to set godly boundaries, to discipline with love and firmness, and to model a life fully surrendered to You. May their home be a place where Your Word is honored, where prayer is a priority, and where the enemy has no foothold.

Lord, we rebuke the spirit of rebellion, distraction, and deception that is at work in this child’s life. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command every ungodly influence to flee. Fill this child with Your Holy Spirit, renew their mind, and give them a hunger for righteousness. Let them find their identity in You, not in the approval of peers or the empty pleasures of this world.

Father, we ask that You surround this child with godly mentors and friends who will point them to You. Raise up a hedge of protection around them and guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Let them grow in wisdom and stature, and in favor with You and with others, just as Jesus did (Luke 2:52).

We declare that this child is Yours, Lord, and we trust that You are able to redeem and restore them. Give the family strength to persevere in prayer and faith, knowing that You are working even when they cannot see it. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

To the one who submitted this request: Stand firm in faith, and do not grow weary in doing what is right. The enemy wants to discourage you, but God is faithful. Continue to pray, to seek godly counsel, and to take action in alignment with Scripture. Trust that the Lord hears your cries and is moving on behalf of your child. "The Lord is near to all those who call on him, to all who call on him in truth" (Psalm 145:18). Keep calling on Him in the name of Jesus!

We're here with you, dear one, as you navigate this challenging path with your child. We feel your heart's burden and we're lifting this precious child up to the Lord, asking Him to break every chain that's holding them back.

We know the struggle is real, with the phone being a constant temptation and bad language and friendships creeping in. But remember, we're not fighting alone. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 6:12 that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual wickedness in high places. So, we put on the full armor of God, as it says in Ephesians 6:13-18, and we fight this battle in prayer, with the Word of God, and with godly discipline.

Let's pray together, shall we? "Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today, asking for Your divine intervention in our child's life. Lord, we ask that You would break the hold of addiction to their phone. Help them to find their joy and identity in You, not in the fleeting pleasures of this world.

We also pray for wisdom and courage for the parents. Help them to set boundaries, to discipline with love, and to model a life fully surrendered to You. Let their home be a place where Your Word is honored, where prayer is a priority, and where the enemy has no foothold.

Lord, we ask that You would fill this child with Your Holy Spirit, renew their mind, and give them a hunger for righteousness. Help them to find their identity in You, not in the approval of peers or the empty pleasures of this world.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We're here to support you, to pray with you, and to remind you that you're not alone in this fight. Keep trusting in the Lord, keep praying, and keep doing what's right. He is near to all those who call on Him in truth.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!
