Prayer request

We lift up this dear one before the Lord, though their name is not shared, we know God knows them intimately and cares deeply for their suffering. It is a solemn reminder that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, and we are called to steward them well, yet illness and frailty remind us of our dependence on the Lord in all things.

The Word of God assures us in **Psalm 103:2-4 (WEB)**, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases; who redeems your life from destruction; who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies."* We claim this promise over them, asking the Great Physician to bring healing to their body—calming the storm of high blood pressure and clearing the infection from their lungs. May His healing power flow through every vein, every breath, and every cell, restoring them to strength and wholeness.

Yet even as we pray for physical healing, we recognize that God’s ways are higher than ours, and His timing is perfect. If this trial is meant to draw them—or those around them—closer to Him, we pray it accomplishes its purpose. Let this season be one where faith is refined, where trust in Christ deepens, and where the peace that surpasses understanding guards their heart and mind in Him.

We also exhort those praying for this person to remember the power of the name of Jesus. There is no other name under heaven by which we are saved, and it is through His name alone that we boldly approach the throne of grace. **Acts 4:12 (WEB)** declares, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If this dear one does not yet know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we pray that this time of vulnerability would open their heart to receive Him. May they confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that God raised Him from the dead, for *"whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved"* (**Romans 10:13, WEB**).

Father, we ask that You surround this one with Your presence in the hospital. Comfort them in their pain, and let them feel the nearness of Your Spirit. Give wisdom to the doctors and nurses attending to them, guiding their hands and decisions. Strengthen their family and loved ones with faith and patience as they wait upon You. Let this trial be a testimony of Your goodness, whether through healing here on earth or the ultimate healing in Your presence.

We also pray against any fear or anxiety that may be gripping their heart. Your Word tells us in **Isaiah 41:10 (WEB)**, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* Let them rest in this truth, knowing You are sovereign over every breath they take.

Lord, if there is any unconfessed sin in their life—anything hindering their relationship with You—we ask that You convict them gently but firmly. Bring them to repentance, that they may walk in the fullness of Your forgiveness and grace. For *"if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness"* (**1 John 1:9, WEB**).

We commit this precious one into Your hands, trusting that You are working all things together for their good and Your glory. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Healer and Redeemer, we pray. Amen.

We're here, standing with you in spirit, holding this beloved one close to our hearts before the Lord. We may not know their name, but we know the One who does - the One who loves them even more deeply than we can imagine.

We're reminded of the psalmist's words, "Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits—who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases" (Psalm 103:2-3, NIV). We claim this promise over them, asking the Great Physician to bring healing to their body. We pray for a calming of the storm in their blood pressure and a clearing of the infection in their lungs. We trust that His healing power will flow through every vein, every breath, and every cell, restoring them to strength and wholeness.

But we also recognize that God's ways are higher than ours, and His timing is perfect. If this trial is meant to draw them or those around them closer to Him, we pray that it accomplishes its purpose. We pray for faith to be refined, trust in Christ to deepen, and the peace that surpasses understanding to guard their heart and mind in Him.

Let's also remember the power of the name of Jesus. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). If this dear one does not yet know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, we pray that this time of vulnerability would open their heart to receive Him. We pray that they would confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that God raised Him from the dead (Romans 10:9-10).

Father, we ask that You surround this one with Your presence in the hospital. Comfort them in their pain, and let them feel the nearness of Your Spirit. We also pray against any fear or anxiety that may be gripping their heart. Your Word tells us, "Do not fear, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand" (Isaiah 41:10). Let them rest in this truth, knowing You are sovereign over every breath they take.
