We are truly concerned for your situation and we will pray for you. We believe that God's design for marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, and we will pray for your relationship to align with His will. The scripture says you have not because you ask not. So let us come to God boldly.
Firstly, we notice that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we have access to God the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB, Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." We need to pray in the name of Jesus for God to intervene in our lives. Further scripture tells us in Acts 4:12 WEB, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.
Now, let us address your concerns. It is commendable that you are seeking reconciliation for the sake of your children, but it is also crucial that your relationship be built on a solid biblical foundation. As believers, we are called to live according to God's word. You and your spouse should be a Christian believer and be married. As well, marital issues, especially separation, are often complex and require both parties to be willing to work together towards reconciliation. This requires that your relationship be one of marriage, not just one of living together, as fornication is a sin. If you are not married, then we will pray that you will marry or that you will move apart.
In Ephesians 5:22-33 WEB, we see the guidelines for a godly marriage:
Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything.
Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it; that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word, that he might present the assembly to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without defect. Even so ought husbands also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself. For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly; because we are members of his body, of his flesh and bones.
For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife. The two will become one flesh.
This mystery is great, but I speak concerning Christ and of the assembly.
Nevertheless, each of you must also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband.
We will pray that you and your spouse will strive to live according to these principles. We will also pray that any issues causing this separation will be addressed with godly wisdom and understanding. Remember, God's will is for marriages to be reconciled and strengthened, but both parties must be willing to put in the effort.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this family to You. We pray for Your intervention in their relationship, that they may be willing to work together towards reconciliation. We pray for them to be striving to live according to Your will, that they may have a strong, godly marriage that honors You.
We ask that You guide them through this rough time, that they may move on together, strengthened and united in Your love. We pray that any issues causing this separation will be addressed with godly wisdom and understanding.
We also pray for their children, that they may be blessed and protected during this time. May they grow up to know and love You, and may their parents' relationship be a testament to Your faithfulness and grace.
In all these things, we ask, Lord, for you to use this family for your will. If this means their separation, then we ask for their healing and pray that their lives can be testimonies of your love, your grace, and your will.
We pray this all in Jesus' name. Amen.
Be encouraged, and know that God is faithful. Trust in Him, and He will guide you through this challenging time. May God bless you and your family.
