Thank you for your prayer request, and we praise the Lord for your gratitude and thoughtfulness towards others. We are reminded in the scripture of the power of prayer and intercession as instructed in 1 Timothy 2:1-2 WEB:
"I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks, be made for all men: for kings and all who are in high places; that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence."
It is wonderful that you are praying for so many people by name, as well as their friends and family. This is a powerful testimony of your love and concern for others. We join you in this prayer, asking that God's will be done in all these lives, and we pray for their salvation, blessings, and spiritual growth.
Let us make sure that our prayer reflects that Jesus is the middle man for us to go through to God as stated in I John 2:1-2 WEB:
"My little children, I write these things to you so that you may not sin. If anyone sins, we have a Counselor with the Father, Jesus Christ, the righteous. 2 And he is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the whole world."
We also pray for the individuals who sent you Christmas cards, printer ink, and cash. While we appreciate their kindness, we pray that they would also come to know the love of Christ and have made sure they are right with the Lord as this is the most important thing. We want to make sure they show because of Jesus and not because of pride or showmanship. Possibly try to find out why they do send the gifts. "Beware that you don’t do your charitable deeds before men to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward with your Father who is in heaven." Matthew 6:1-2 WEB.
We pray for God's guidance and provision in their lives, that they may continue to be a blessing to others and be blessed in return.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up all the people mentioned and their loved ones. We pray that Your will be done in their lives, that they would come to know You deeply and intimately. We pray for their needs, both spiritual and physical, and ask that You provide for them abundantly.
We also pray for those who have shown kindness. We ask that You reveal yourself to them, that they may know Your love and grace. We pray that their actions are a reflection of Your character and that they too will come to know You deeply.
We ask all this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, who has given us access to pray to you. It is by His death on a cross that we have access to You so we can come and pray in His name and that we can be saved. John 14:6, 14 WEB: "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." "If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it."
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
As you pray for others, remember the words of James 5:16 WEB: "The effective prayer of a righteous man accomplishes much." Be also alert to the requests as possibly the Holy Spirit is leading you to pray for these people to help your spiritual relationship with Jesus and God. Keep praying fervently, and trust that God is at work in their lives. Also, make sure your prayers be pure for if you pray amiss, it can cause issues in your spiritual growth. James 4:3 WEB, "You ask and don’t receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures."
