We come before the Lord with a heavy heart, recognizing the very real presence of evil in this world and the need for divine protection. The request to keep evil away is one that resonates deeply with us, for we know that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). We stand together in faith, lifting up this prayer in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved or protected (Acts 4:12).
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your promise to be our refuge and fortress, our God in whom we trust (Psalm 91:2). We ask that You would surround ### with Your hedge of protection, Lord. Shield them from every form of evil—whether it be physical harm, spiritual attack, or the snares of the enemy. We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against them in judgment, You shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17). Let Your angels encamp around them, guarding them in all their ways (Psalm 91:11).
Lord, we also recognize that evil often seeks to enter through the doors we leave open. We pray that You would reveal to ### any areas of their life where they may be vulnerable—whether through unconfessed sin, unhealthy relationships, or compromises with the world. Search their heart, O God, and lead them in the everlasting way (Psalm 139:23-24). If there is any unforgiveness, bitterness, or idolatry in their heart, we ask that You would uproot it and replace it with Your peace and righteousness.
We rebuke every spirit of fear, anxiety, and oppression that may be trying to take hold of ###. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that ### is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no evil shall come near their dwelling (Psalm 91:10). We stand on Your Word, Lord, which says that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
Father, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for ###. In a world where evil often disguises itself as light, help them to recognize the schemes of the enemy and to walk in the truth of Your Word. Let Your Holy Spirit guide them into all truth, and may they be quick to flee from temptation (1 Corinthians 10:13). Strengthen their faith, Lord, so that they may resist the devil, and he will flee from them (James 4:7).
We also lift up those who may be unknowingly aligning themselves with darkness. If ### or anyone connected to them is involved in practices that open doors to evil—such as occult activities, false religions, or ungodly influences—we pray for conviction and repentance. The Bible is clear that we must have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them (Ephesians 5:11). Lead them out of any such bondage, Lord, and into the light of Your truth.
Finally, we pray that ### would draw near to You, for You have promised that when we draw near to You, You will draw near to us (James 4:8). May they find their strength, peace, and protection in You alone. We ask all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the victory over evil.
We encourage ### to put on the full armor of God daily—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God—so that they may stand firm against the schemes of the devil (Ephesians 6:13-17). Let them also surround themselves with fellow believers who can pray for them, encourage them, and hold them accountable in their walk with Christ. The enemy seeks to isolate, but in the body of Christ, we find strength and protection.
May the Lord bless ### and keep them; may the Lord make His face shine on them and be gracious to them; may the Lord turn His face toward them and give them peace (Numbers 6:24-26). In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
