We hear your distress and frustration, and we stand with you in seeking God’s justice and protection in this situation. The actions of those in authority over you seem deceitful and unjust, and we understand how deeply this weighs on your heart. The Bible tells us in Psalm 37:1-2, *"Don’t fret because of evildoers, neither be envious against those who work unrighteousness. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither like the green herb."* Though it may feel as though the wicked prosper in their schemes, God sees all and will not let injustice go unanswered.
First, we must address the urgency of your plea with the truth that all authority comes from God, and He calls us to respond in a manner that honors Him. Romans 13:1 reminds us, *"Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God."* While this does not excuse unrighteous behavior from those in leadership, it does call us to approach this situation with wisdom, prayer, and a heart that seeks to glorify God rather than retaliate in anger. Proverbs 25:21-22 says, *"If your enemy is hungry, give him food to eat. If he is thirsty, give him water to drink; for you will heap coals of fire on his head, and Yahweh will reward you."* This does not mean we ignore wrongdoing, but we trust God to bring justice while we act with integrity.
We rebuke the spirit of deception and manipulation at work in this situation. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we might have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that no weapon formed against you or this church will prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment will be condemned (Isaiah 54:17). We also encourage you to seek godly counsel and document every interaction, as you mentioned the need for written proof of the donation. Proverbs 15:22 says, *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established."* Reach out to trusted believers who can offer wisdom and support as you navigate this challenge.
We also lift up the spiritual battle at hand. Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, *"For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."* The enemy would love to see division, strife, and fear take root, but we stand firm in the armor of God, praying for His protection and intervention. We bind every spirit of lies, intimidation, and injustice in the name of Jesus and declare that the truth will prevail.
Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this situation to You, knowing that You are a God of justice and righteousness. We ask that You would expose every lie and deceitful scheme at work here. Give this church and its leaders wisdom, discernment, and favor as they seek to resolve this matter. Provide them with the documentation they need to prove their case and protect them from the threats of eviction. Lord, we ask that You would soften the hearts of those who are acting unjustly. If it is Your will, turn their hearts toward repentance and righteousness. If not, we trust that You will bring Your justice in Your perfect timing.
We pray for protection over this church and its members, both physically and spiritually. Guard their hearts from fear, bitterness, and despair. Fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen their faith as they wait on You, reminding them that You are their refuge and fortress (Psalm 91:2). We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper and that every tongue that rises against them will be condemned. We ask that You would provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19) and open doors that no man can shut (Revelation 3:8).
Lord, we also pray for the salvation of those who are acting in wickedness. We know that Your desire is for all to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9), and we ask that You would draw them to Yourself. Break the chains of deception in their lives and reveal Your truth to them. Let them see the error of their ways and turn from their sin. We trust that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20), and we place this situation in Your hands.
In all things, we seek Your will and Your glory. May this trial draw this church closer to You and strengthen their witness to the world.
