Prayer Request for ###

I am requesting your prayers for my son, ###, who is studying in Grade ###. He sustained an eye injury while playing badminton at school, and there is a blood clot in his cornea. The doctor has advised him to take complete bed rest for three days. Kindly keep ### in your prayers for his speedy recovery and complete healing. May God’s healing hands be upon him and restore his eye to full health. Thank you all for your prayers and support.

We join with you in lifting up your son before the throne of grace and we are praying for his complete and speedy recovery from this eye injury sustained while playing badminton. We know how worrying it is as a parent to see your child injured, especially with an injury to the eye, and we ask the Lord to give you and your family peace during these three days of bed rest and in the days that follow.

We thank God for the doctors and for the wisdom He has given them, and we encourage you to follow their counsel for complete rest as the Lord works through both prayer and proper care. We trust that God is our healer and that He cares deeply for your son.

The scripture reminds us of His healing power and compassion, Psalm 147:3 says He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. Jeremiah 30:17 says But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. Exodus 15:26 declares I am Yahweh who heals you. And Psalm 103:2-3 tells us Bless Yahweh, my soul, and don't forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases.

We also noticed your request asked for God's healing hands upon him, and we want to gently encourage you that it is through Jesus Christ alone that we have access to the Father and receive His healing and salvation. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 reminds us There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by the name of Jesus we are saved, forgiven, and welcomed into God's presence to make our requests known, and we want to be sure your son and your family know the hope that comes through faith in Him.

Let us pray together.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up this young son to You and ask for Your merciful healing hand upon his eye. You see the blood clot in his cornea and You know every detail of his body that You created. We ask You to dissolve this clot, to restore his cornea and his vision to full health, and to prevent any infection or lasting damage. We pray for complete healing and that You would make his recovery swift and without complication. Give him patience and peace as he rests, and give his parents comfort, strength, and freedom from fear. Guide the doctors with wisdom in their follow up care. We pray that this trial would draw this family closer to You and that Your peace which passes all understanding would guard their hearts. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Healer, amen.

We will continue to keep your son in our prayers. James 5:15 assures us The prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. Trust in the Lord's goodness and keep us updated on his healing.

Alongside prayer, staying closely connected to his medical team is the best way to care for him.

It helps to make those rest days as calm and comfortable as you can, with limited screen time and a quiet space, and to let his teachers know so he does not feel pressure to rush back.

We pray for you as you care for him, for peace in your home and strength for these days of waiting.

Father, we lift this young man to You in Jesus' name. We ask for Your healing hand upon his eye, for wisdom for his doctors, and for comfort and patience for him and his family as he rests. Give them peace and restore him day by day according to Your mercy. Amen.

We have received your request and we unite our hearts with yours in intercession for your son in this time of trial and pain. Intercessory prayer is the sweetest prayer God ever hears, for it is the very prayer of Christ Himself who ever lives to make intercession for us, and we count it a privilege to bring your dear boy before the throne of grace.

We are reminded that the Lord is the Good Physician, and that there is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ. As it is written, the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations, and even the least thing about Christ is full of healing virtue. When Jesus healed the sick, pardon and healing were as one, for the Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings. Though the doctor has advised complete rest, we look beyond the means to the great Conduit Head from whom abundant streams of healing flow down to men below.

Let us pray together. O Lord, our God, remember Your Word unto Your servants. You have taught us to spread our case before You and to plead with You with all our hearts. We bring this child before You, with the blood clot upon his cornea and the injury to his eye. Lay Your healing hand upon him, we beseech You. Grant wisdom to those who care for him, grant patience and perfect rest in these three days, and grant that his eye may be restored to full health and clear sight. Let Your pity and compassion be shown to him in his weakness, and let this affliction be a means to draw his young heart to hear Your voice and to say, Speak, Lord, for Your servant hears. We know that You hear the prayer of those who are at their wit's end, and that a true prayer from those who are brought low is a prevailing prayer. Hear us, O Father, for the sake of Your dear Son.

Be comforted in knowing that He is not long in answering the prayer of His people, and that He is very pitiful in our misery. Continue to wait upon Him, to watch and to pray with importunity, and to trust Him for a complete recovery. May the Lord bless you and keep your son under the shadow of His wings until health is fully restored.

Thank you for entrusting this burden to us and asking for prayer for your son. We have received your request and we are joining you in prayer for his healing and recovery.

We are asking our merciful God, who formed the eye and who brought each of us from nothing into being, to lay his healing hand upon your son. We pray that the blood clot in his cornea would be dissolved and cleared, that his vision would be fully restored, and that these three days of rest would be effective for his complete recovery. We ask God to guide the doctors with wisdom, to give skill to their care, and to use the prescribed rest and treatment as instruments of his healing.

We know how precious sight is and how anxious a parent's heart is when a child is injured. Yet we also take comfort in remembering that God is able to bring good even out of affliction, and that no suffering is beyond his power to heal and restore. As we have often taught, it is sin alone that is the true and lasting evil, while bodily trials, though painful, are in his hands and can be turned toward our good. He who gave sight at the first is able to renew and strengthen it again.

We will continue to pray that God will keep your son in peace during this time of stillness, free him from fear and pain, and return him quickly to health and to his studies with clear and healthy vision. May you and your family be comforted by his loving kindness and sustained by hope in Christ, who is our true physician for both body and soul.

Thank you for sharing this request and allowing us to pray for your son. We have lifted him before the Lord and we continue to ask for God's healing and restoring work upon his eye.

In Christ we have been given a precious privilege. God sent His Son, born of a woman and born under the law, to redeem those under the law so that we might receive adoption as sons. Jesus is the only begotten Son of the Father, full of grace and truth, and we are not sons in that same unique way. We are adopted into God's family through Him, and because we are sons, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts so we can cry, Abba, Father. That means you can come to Him now as a child to a Father who hears, who loves, and who cares deeply for your son.

That love of the Father for His Son helps us understand how great God's love is for us. When Abraham was told to take his son, his only son Isaac whom he loved, and offer him, it was a picture of what God Himself would later do when He gave His only begotten Son for the world. The Father did not withhold His Son, and through that gift we have forgiveness, life, and access to His mercy for every need, including physical need.

We believe Jesus cares about physical healing as well as spiritual healing. Scripture shows Him as both the Son of David and the Son of God, the promised Messiah declared to be the Son of God with power by His resurrection. When He was in Cana, a nobleman came to Him about his son who was sick, and Jesus spoke the word and healed the boy even though he was many miles away. At Jerusalem by the pool of Bethesda, He healed on the Sabbath and showed that His works are the works of the Father, done in compassion and power. No one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son reveals Him, and all judgment and honor has been given to the Son. To trust the Son is to trust the Father who sent Him.

We do not always understand why some are healed instantly and others gradually, but we believe all true healing is from God. Even the natural processes of healing that God has placed in the body are divine, because He created those processes. Sometimes healing comes in a moment, sometimes it comes step by step, and we trust His wisdom and timing in either case.

So we are praying that the Lord will touch your son's eye, that the blood clot in the cornea would be fully resolved, and that his sight would be completely restored. We pray for peace for him during these three days of bed rest, for strength and comfort for you as you care for him, and for wisdom for the doctors who are treating him. We ask that God would guard his eye from any further complication and bring a full and speedy recovery, and that through this you and your family would know the nearness and kindness of the Father who hears His children when they call upon Him in Jesus' name.
