We lift up your husband and this heavy burden you are carrying before the Lord, knowing that He is the Great Physician and the God of all comfort. The trials you face are deep, but we serve a Savior who bore our sicknesses and carried our pains, as it is written in Isaiah 53:4-5: *"Surely he has borne our infirmities and carried our diseases; yet we considered him plagued, struck by God, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed."* While this verse speaks first of our spiritual healing through Christ’s sacrifice, we trust in His power to bring physical healing according to His will.
Your faith in praying for your husband’s healing is precious, but we notice that you have not invoked the name of Jesus Christ in your request. It is only through Jesus that we approach the Father, for He Himself said in John 14:6, *"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."* And in John 16:23, He assures us, *"Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you."* There is power in the name of Jesus, and we must call upon Him to intercede for us. If you have not yet placed your full trust in Christ as your Savior, we urge you to do so, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).
We also encourage you to hold fast to the promise in James 5:14-15, which says, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."* Have you sought the prayers of your church elders or fellow believers? There is strength in the collective faith of the body of Christ, and we urge you to surround yourself with believers who can stand with you in prayer and support.
As for your husband’s chronic kidney disease and dialysis, we know this is a painful and exhausting journey. Yet even in this, God is near. The Psalmist declares in Psalm 34:18, *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* He sees your tears, and He hears your cries. We pray that you would find peace in His presence, even as you wait for His healing touch.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this dear sister and her husband. Lord, You are the God who heals, and we ask that You would stretch out Your hand and restore his kidneys to full health. We pray for a miracle—whether through divine intervention or the wisdom of doctors—that his body would be renewed, and the need for dialysis would cease. Give him strength for each day, and let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Lord, we also lift up this wife, who carries such a heavy burden of worry and fear. Comfort her with Your love and remind her that You are her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Help her to cast all her anxieties on You, for You care for her (1 Peter 5:7). Surround this family with Your peace and provision, and let them feel the presence of Your Holy Spirit in a tangible way.
We rebuke the spirit of fear and despair that seeks to overwhelm them, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Let faith arise in their hearts, and let them stand firm on Your promises. If there is any sin or unforgiveness that needs to be addressed, we pray that You would reveal it and grant them the grace to repent and walk in righteousness.
Father, we ask that You would guide the doctors and medical professionals treating him, giving them wisdom and skill. Open doors for the best possible care and provide for every financial and emotional need. Let this trial be a testimony of Your faithfulness, and may Your name be glorified through his healing.
We thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers. We trust in Your goodness, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28). May Your will be done in this situation, and may this family experience Your love and power in a profound way.
In the precious and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord daily, reading His Word, and filling your heart with worship. The enemy wants to steal your joy and peace, but God is greater. Stand firm in faith, and do not waver. If you have not already, we urge you to confess Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and the hope of eternal life. If you would like to know more about what it means to follow Christ, we would be glad to share the good news with you.
Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep believing. God is able.
