Prayer request for my daughter to pass her DAT exams

We come before the Lord with a heart of intercession for your daughter as she prepares for her DAT exams. Father God, we know that You are the giver of wisdom and understanding, and we ask that You pour out Your Spirit upon her in this time of study and testing. The Bible tells us in James 1:5, "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him." Lord, we ask that You grant her clarity of mind, retention of knowledge, and peace as she approaches her exams.

We also lift up her heart to You, Father. In Proverbs 3:5-6, we are reminded, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." May she lean on You, not on her own strength, and may she find rest in the assurance that You hold her future in Your hands.

Lord, we rebuke any spirit of anxiety, fear, or distraction that may be trying to hinder her focus. We declare that she is equipped with the knowledge and ability You have given her, and we pray that she would walk in confidence, knowing that You are with her. Philippians 4:13 says, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." Let this truth be her foundation as she prepares and takes her exams.

Father, we also pray for her spiritual growth during this season. May this time of preparation not only strengthen her academically but also draw her closer to You. Help her to seek You first in all things, as Matthew 6:33 encourages us, "But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." May she find her identity and worth in You alone.

We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for it is only through His name that we have access to Your throne of grace. Amen.

We're joining you in prayer for your daughter as she prepares for her DAT. Behind a simple test result lies so much, her diligence, her hopes, and your love for her. It's natural to carry some weight when someone we care about faces a challenging hurdle, yet we've seen how prayer can bring a steadying peace that outlasts the wait for any score.

One thing we've found helpful in seasons like these is to let the person know, clearly and warmly, that her worth is not measured by a number on a page. A parent's steady assurance can be a gift, reminding her that she is loved, capable, and held by God whatever the outcome. You might also ask if she'd welcome a quick, simple prayer together: not long or formal, just a quiet moment thanking God for her mind and asking for calm and clarity on exam day. Knowing you're walking alongside her in that practical way can ease the pressure she may be feeling.

In the end, we trust that God goes before her into this test and into the career path that follows. We ask Him to grant her sound recall, sharp focus, and a settled spirit, not just during the exam but in all the preparation before it. And we ask for wisdom for you, too, as you support her.

Lord Jesus, we lift up this daughter to You. Calm any anxiety she may be carrying, and help her study with steady discipline and confidence. On exam day, give her a clear mind and draw to remembrance all she has learned. But even more, direct her steps according to Your good plan for her life, and surround this family with Your peace that passes understanding. Amen.

The way to face such an examination is found in the old path, the good way wherein the soul finds rest. If your daughter is in Christ, she need not be tossed about with anxious care over the result, for fretfulness unfits the mind to meet the trial, and anxiety has never yet added one point to a score nor brought any grist to the mill. Bid her be prudent, prepare diligently, and then commit the matter into the hands of her faithful Creator. The passing over Kidron, that brook of sorrow and acute distress, comes to every king's daughter as well; yet the King Himself goes with her, and though for a little He may seem hidden in the dark corners of the spirit, He will arise and give her peace.

Do not let her be dazzled by worldly success, but rather learn from the good, not merely the great. A true daughter of Sarah is not afraid with any amazement, but keeps her heart at a quiet pace, delighting herself in a faithful God. If she has sought first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, she may leave the outcome with holy composure. Better to walk in the paths of truth and right, even if the world counts it unsuccessful, than to gain the whole world and lose her own soul. The Lord Jesus Himself, when His mighty works did not bring the repentance He desired, was not discouraged, but rested in the Father's will. So may she find, in the weariness of her labor and the burden of her fears, the rest that He gives, rest from the fretfulness of ambition, rest from the alarm of possible failure, rest for her very soul.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

You come asking prayer for your daughter’s exams, and that is not wrong, for we ought to bring every need before the Lord. But take care lest your heart be more anxious for her success in this test than for her soul’s standing before God. What is the DAT but a fleeting shadow? Today it is this exam, tomorrow another worldly concern.

Yet see how Christ calls: “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Teach your daughter to cast her cares upon Him, for not even the smallest thing can be added to our lives by anxious thought, it is God’s providence, not our diligence alone, that effects all. If He forsakes us, no amount of study will come to anything. So pray, yes, but let your prayer be that she walk wisely, redeeming the time in these evil days, not as unwise, but as one who understands what the Lord’s will is. Let her pursue knowledge, but far more the beauty that is incorruptible, a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God’s sight is very precious.

Be a pattern to her of modesty and faith; let her see you despise the world’s glitter and seek first the kingdom. Then, whether she passes or fails by earthly measures, she will have gained the one thing needful. May God who made the world adorn you both with His own glory, that shining in good works, you may send up glory to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, now and always.

Your prayer for your daughter in this exam is heard, and it matters deeply. Any test can stir a parent's heart, you want her to succeed, and that's natural. But let's step back and consider how God uses these moments. The Scriptures show us that our works, our efforts, will one day be laid before the Lord like a building inspected by fire. Some things will survive only because they were built on faith and trust in Him, not because they impressed the world. So as you pray, let's ask God not only for a passing grade but for her to trust Jesus through the pressure. That's the lasting fruit.

Jesus himself faced the immense weight of the cross and prayed, "Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me." He knew the agony ahead, yet He surrendered: "Nevertheless, not my will, but yours be done." That's the model for every anxious moment. Your daughter's exam is a real challenge, but it's also an opportunity to learn that peace doesn't come from a perfect score, it comes from resting in God's will. He offers true rest to those who stop striving and lean on His sovereignty.

Take a moment and examine your own heart, too. Is anxiety gaining ground? God's Word says He tries the reins and searches the hearts. Bring that worry to Him. Ask Him to show you any place where you're clinging to your own plans rather than trusting His provision. Jacob learned that hard lesson: after all his scheming, he finally confessed that it was God who had granted him success, not his own cleverness. So we can pray boldly, "Lord, test us, and see if there is any offensive way in us, and lead us in the way everlasting."

I'm joining you in asking the Lord to be with her, to calm her mind, and to bring to remembrance what she has studied. But more than that, let's ask that she emerges from this with a deeper sense of His faithfulness, whatever the result. Because when the bigger tests come, the ones that try our souls, the only thing that will hold is the confidence that we belong to Christ. May His peace guard both of you, and may you enter that rest together.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with the privilege of lifting your daughter before the Lord as she prepared for her DAT exams. It has been our joy to stand in agreement with you, praying for clarity, focus, peace, and wisdom to fill her heart and mind during this important time. We asked our Heavenly Father to guide her steps, calm her nerves, and grant her favor as she demonstrated all that she has studied and prepared for.

If the Lord has already answered this prayer and your daughter has received good news about her results, we would love to celebrate with you! Please share a praise report so we can rejoice together in God’s faithfulness. If the results have not yet come, or if they were not what you had hoped for, we want you to know we are still here with you. Please post this request again, and we will continue to stand with you in prayer—asking for God’s perfect timing, His peace that surpasses all understanding, and His guidance for the next steps, whether that be retaking the exam or exploring other paths He may be opening.

May the Lord bless you and your daughter abundantly as you continue to seek Him. May His presence be a comfort, His strength be your foundation, and His wisdom illuminate every decision. We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus. Amen.
