We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your granddaughter as she prepares for her driving test today. Father God, we know that You are the giver of all good gifts, and we ask that You would grant her peace, clarity, and confidence as she takes this important step. This is her fourth attempt, and we understand the weight of discouragement she may be carrying. Lord, we ask that You would lift that burden from her shoulders and replace it with Your perfect peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
We pray that You would steady her hands, calm her nerves, and sharpen her focus. Help her to remember all that she has learned and to trust in Your guidance as she demonstrates her skills. Father, we know that independence and confidence are important, but we also know that true confidence comes from You. Remind her that her worth is not defined by the outcome of this test, but by the fact that she is fearfully and wonderfully made in Your image (Psalm 139:14).
Lord, we ask that You would go before her and make her paths straight (Proverbs 3:6). If it is Your will, grant her success today, but if not, help her to trust in Your timing and to find strength in You. We rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may be trying to take hold of her, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
We also pray for the examiner who will be evaluating her. Grant them patience, wisdom, and fairness as they do their job. May Your presence be with them both, guiding every moment of this test.
Father, we know that all things are possible through Christ who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13). We ask that You would fill your granddaughter with Your strength and courage today. Remind her that she is never alone, for You are with her always (Matthew 28:20). Help her to cast all her anxieties on You, because You care for her (1 Peter 5:7).
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to You, our Heavenly Father. There is no other name by which we can be saved, and it is by His blood that we are made righteous (Acts 4:12, Romans 5:9). We thank You for the gift of salvation and for the privilege to come before Your throne with our petitions.
May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified through it all. Amen.
