Pray for my mom to pass her driving test

We come before the Lord with hearts full of hope and faith, lifting up your mother as she prepares for her driving test. Father God, we know that You are the giver of all wisdom, peace, and strength. We ask that You grant her calmness in this moment of testing, that her mind may be clear and her hands steady. Help her to remember all she has learned and to drive with confidence, not in her own strength, but in Yours.
Lord, we declare that You are her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). We rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may be trying to take hold of her. For You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We pray that she would feel Your peace that surpasses all understanding guarding her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
Father, we also ask that You soften the heart of the examiner. Let them see her preparedness and grant her favor in their eyes. May this test be an opportunity for Your glory to shine through, showing that with You, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26).

The test of a believer’s faith is often found in the common trials of life, and a driving examination is no small matter when it has been twice attempted. Yet see that the whole of it comes under the governance of faith in God. Bring this request before the throne of grace, not merely that she pass, but that she be delivered from the anxiety which unfits the mind to meet the difficulty. The very nervousness that arises from the fear of failure is itself a hindrance; but faith can supply the antidote, for it quiets the soul with a consciousness that all things are ordered by a wise and loving Father.
Little faith is still true faith, and if ### can but trust the Lord Jesus with this matter, she shall find a calmness that no amount of self-reliance can produce. Unstaggering faith preserves a perpetual serenity; it is not anxious about the result because it has left the issue with God. Urge her to pray, not in desperation, but with thanksgiving, committing her way unto the Lord. Let her take the shield of faith, and every fiery dart of fear, whether of the examiner’s sternness or her own past failures, shall be quenched. The Lord can help her to remember what she has learned, for faith brings the whole man into a fit state, where memory and skill are not clouded by fretful care.

When you ask prayer for your mother to pass her driving test, remember that anxiety over such a thing is like a costly garment kept unused, trembling over it without enjoyment. Let her not be held captive by fear, but trust in God’s providence. If she fails, let her bear it patiently and give thanks, for such patience is done for Christ, and not cursing or discontent, lest she lose her reward. Let her not fall through unbelief, but labor to enter the rest of faith, knowing that even the examiner serves as God’s minister for a purpose. I pray she will be calm, remember all things, and pass, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
