We come before the Lord with hearts full of gratitude for the precious gift of children He has entrusted to you. Twenty years ago, in your time of longing, He heard your cry and blessed you with these young lives, and now we join you in lifting them up before His throne. Father, we thank You for the way You have sustained them thus far, and we ask that You continue to guide their steps as they navigate this season of university life.
Lord, we pray for their friendships—may You bring godly, like-minded believers into their lives who will sharpen them in faith, encourage them in righteousness, and walk with them in integrity. Protect their hearts and minds from the influences of this world, for we know the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy. Guard them from the temptations of drugs, alcohol, and any behavior that dishonors You. Let Your Holy Spirit be their constant companion, leading them away from sin and toward Your truth.
We declare over them the promise of Proverbs 3:5-6: *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths."* Father, open doors of provision for them—grant them bursaries, scholarships, and opportunities that will sustain them through their education. May they not only receive degrees but also walk in the purpose You have ordained for them. Prepare them for the work You have called them to, that they may be salt and light in their professions.
We also pray for their health—strengthen their bodies, minds, and spirits. Shield them from illness, anxiety, and despair, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Surround them with Your angels, Lord, that no harm may come near them. And as they grow in knowledge, may they also grow in wisdom, discernment, and a deeper love for You.
Father, we rebuke every spirit of rebellion, worldliness, or distraction that may try to pull them away from Your will. We speak life, purpose, and divine favor over them. May they rise up as arrows in Your hand, equipped to impact their generation for Your glory.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is no other name by which we can come before You. Without Christ, we have no access to Your throne, no hope of salvation, and no promise of eternal life. We are grateful that through His sacrifice, we can boldly approach You, knowing that You hear us and move on our behalf.
Lord, we also pray for this family as a whole—may they continue to seek You first in all things. Strengthen their bond, deepen their faith, and let Your presence be the foundation of their home. May they always remember that every good and perfect gift comes from You, and may they use these blessings to bring You honor.
In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
