We lift this dear sister before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, asking the Lord to bring His healing touch to her body. The Word of God reminds us in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says Yahweh. We stand on this promise, believing that God sees her discomfort and is already at work in her life.
Father, we ask You to guide the hands of medical professionals who may examine her, giving them wisdom and discernment to understand what is happening. If this is something that requires Your miraculous healing, we pray for complete restoration. If it is something that requires medical intervention, we ask that You lead her to the right care and give her peace throughout the process. We rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may be trying to take hold of her heart, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
Lord, we also ask that You comfort her in this time of uncertainty. Remind her that You are her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Surround her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We pray that she would draw near to You and find rest in Your presence, knowing that You are in control.
We encourage this sister to seek godly counsel and medical advice, trusting that the Lord will direct her steps. A bulge that comes and goes, how it mocks the anxious heart! It seems to retreat only to return, and each return stirs fresh alarm. But tell me, what has your anxiety ever mended? Has it ever stilled one swelling or added a single hour of peace? I have long since learned that fretting over a trouble unfits a soul to meet it, while prayer fits the trembling heart to lay hold of unshakable strength.
Bring this very matter before the Lord. Spread it out as Hezekiah spread the Assyrian letter in the temple, plainly, with all its threat. Do not nurse the fear in the dark closet of your own thoughts; expose it to the light of the mercy seat. True prayer is pleading, and you have arguments at hand: your own feebleness, His promise to hear the cry of the afflicted, the very name of Jesus which is healing balm for the nations. Even the hem of His garment holds virtue enough for this.
Remember that our Lord often joins pardon and healing together. Perhaps you have already cried for bodily relief; now seek also a fresh word of forgiveness. When the Son of Man said to the palsied man, "Your sins are forgiven you," the two mercies flowed as one. The thorn may drive you nearer to the cross, and there you will find both a quieted conscience and a body beneath the watchful care of its Maker.
Pray on, even if the answer tarries. The promise stands surer than the mountains, and prayer that staggers from weakness is not turned away by a compassionate God. The good Physician may be about to heal by a gentle touch, or He may choose to sustain you in the trial so that His grace is magnified. Cast your care wholly upon Him, for the Lord’s power to heal is ever present, and those who trust in Him shall never be put to shame.

Yet I urge you and ### to set your eyes not on the shifting shadow of the symptom, but on the steadfast mercy of God. The blind men by the roadside did not merely think hopeful thoughts; they cried aloud, “Have mercy on us,” and they would not be silenced until Christ turned to them. And what did the Lord answer? Not a word of mere comfort, but “According to your faith be it unto you.” Notice how He drew their faith into the healing, as if to say, “Your own trust has opened the door.”
Do not, then, merely wait for prayers to be offered while your own heart remains slack. The Canaanite woman received deliverance for her daughter not because she was quiet and resigned, but because she pressed her plea with humble boldness until the Lord declared, “O woman, great is thy faith; be it unto thee even as thou wilt.” Her faith contributed mightily to the miracle. Let the same persistent, clinging faith arise in ### and in you who intercede for her.
At the same time, do not imagine that you have no need of the prayers of others. The Apostle Paul, so great a saint, asked for the prayers of the churches, and Peter was delivered from prison because “constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church.” Weave together the gathered intercession of the brethren with your own watchful, personal supplication. Let there be no anxiety, for the things that are not evil in themselves can only trouble us through a frightened and doubting intention. Ask, and keep on asking, with the confidence of children. And if the release from this ailment seems to delay, still hold fast. For even the believer who lives a common life in the world is a saint through faith, and this temporary trial may be the very tool to purify that faith and bring her nearer to the great Physician of souls. Whether the bulge returns or vanishes, let her cry out for mercy, trust in His goodness, and know that He who commands us to ask is faithful.

I want you to know that this concern has been heard, and you are not alone in carrying it. Our Lord Jesus saw sickness of every kind and met people where they were. Sometimes He spoke a word and the healing was instantaneous. Other times He touched, He used means, and in one recorded instance the healing was gradual: a man saw first dimly, then clearly. All of it was divine, and all of it was in His timing and wisdom.
I don’t know why some are healed quickly and others are not. Paul pleaded with the Lord three times about his own thorn and heard “My grace is sufficient for you.” He also left Trophimus sick at Miletus and spoke of his own frequent infirmities. It is a terrible mistake to suggest that sickness signals weak faith or spiritual failure. That simply isn’t the testimony of Scripture.
What I do know is that Jesus has taken our infirmities and carried our sorrows. The body broken for us at Calvary means He cares intimately about our physical frames. His healing power is real, and I believe He still heals today, in many different ways. Sometimes through the remarkable processes He built into creation, working gradually as our bodies fight and mend. Sometimes through a direct, felt touch. Sometimes the deepest healing happens in the spirit and the mind, even as the body continues to struggle.
So pray with confidence, but also with surrender. Ask the Lord to touch this woman’s body and to remove whatever is causing that bulge. Ask for wisdom for any doctor who may examine her, and for peace that transcends the uncertainty. Bring her before the throne of grace expecting mercy. And remember that Jesus never treated people as projects or sources of profit. He was moved with compassion, not spectacle. I will join you in that kind of prayer: quiet, persistent, trusting.
