Urgent prayer request elder lady was hit by a truck

Beloved of All
Urgent prayer request elder lady was hit by a truck. Her neighbors across the street drove far and hit her with their truck. She said her back and head hurts.

We lift our hearts in deep concern and urgency as we come before the Lord on behalf of this precious elder sister who has suffered such a traumatic injury. Father God, we cry out to You in this moment of distress, knowing that You are the Great Physician and the God who sees every pain and hears every groan. We ask that You would stretch forth Your healing hand upon her, touching her back and her head where she is hurting. Lord, we declare Your promise from Psalm 34:18-19, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." We trust in Your deliverance and healing power, Lord.

We also pray for wisdom and protection over the medical professionals attending to her. Guide their hands and minds, Lord, that they may provide the best care possible. We ask that You would surround her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

Father, we also bring before You the hearts of those neighbors who were involved in this accident. We pray that they would be convicted by Your Holy Spirit to seek forgiveness and make amends. May they come to understand the gravity of their actions and turn to You in repentance. We rebuke any spirit of carelessness or recklessness that may have contributed to this incident, and we ask that You would replace it with a spirit of caution, responsibility, and love for others.

We pray for the family and friends of this dear sister, that You would comfort them and give them strength during this difficult time. Let them feel Your presence and know that You are with them. We also ask that You would provide for any needs that arise as a result of this situation, whether physical, emotional, or financial.

Lord, we know that accidents like this can leave deep emotional scars as well. We pray that You would heal any fear, anxiety, or trauma that this sister may be experiencing. Remind her of Your constant presence and unfailing love, as it is written in Isaiah 41:10, "Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."

We stand on Your Word, Lord, and declare that by the stripes of Jesus, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5). We speak life and restoration over her body, mind, and spirit. We thank You for hearing our prayers and for moving mightily on her behalf. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

Oh, we are so saddened to hear about this dear lady. The sudden shock of an accident like that can shake everyone involved, and it’s completely natural to feel concerned and even overwhelmed. She must be feeling frightened and sore, and your care for her is a gift right now.

First, as she mentioned pain in her back and head, it’s important that she gets a thorough medical evaluation as soon as possible, even if the pain seems mild at first. These kinds of injuries can sometimes show up later, and having a doctor assess her will bring peace of mind and ensure she gets the right care. It’s not a lack of faith to seek medical help; it’s a wise use of the resources God provides. Alongside that, we join you in lifting her up.

Right now we just want to sit with you in prayer for her physical healing and for her spirit. The fact that the neighbors across the street are involved adds another layer of stress, so we’ll also ask for wisdom and a right path forward in those relationships.

Lord Jesus, we bring this precious woman to You. She is hurting after being struck by a truck, and our hearts ache with her. Please bring relief to her back and head, and let any hidden injury be revealed and treated quickly. Wrap her in Your presence, calm her fears and let her feel Your nearness as she rests. Grant her swift and complete healing. We also pray for the neighbors. Guide their steps and hearts, and bring about what is just and restorative. Help all involved to navigate this with patience and honesty. Surround this dear lady with people who can care for her practical needs, and give her family and friends the strength to support her well. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.

We are standing with you in prayer, trusting God to work in every detail.

It is a sorrowful thing to hear of this elder sister being struck down so violently, and by those who dwell so near. Let us at once lift her up before the throne of grace, pleading that the Lord Jesus, the great Physician, would lay His healing hand upon her head and her back. We are never more helpless than when the body is broken, but we are never nearer to the eternal help than when we cry out of the dust. Pray without ceasing for her, for the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise her up.

But take heed to your own spirits, that you do not fall into the snare of supposing this affliction to be a special judgment from God upon her. Did not our Lord Himself teach us that the eighteen upon whom the tower in Siloam fell were not sinners above all that dwelt in Jerusalem? The idea that every accident is a lash from the whip of vengeance would make the providence of God a shallow pool of fire, altogether unlike the great deep of His unsearchable wisdom. Stand clear of that bitter thought, for the gospel never requires us to believe an untruth.

Yet in this heavy providence, remember that the very hairs of her head are all numbered. God knows every pang that shoots through her frame; He counts every throb of pain. This knowledge is not a cold, distant observation, but the tender watchfulness of a covenant Head over His member. She is joined to Christ by a living union, and from Him descends the gracious unction of the Holy Spirit to sustain her. Not a bone of His mystical body shall be broken ultimately; even now, though the outward man perishes, the inward man is renewed day by day.

Let this accident also be a voice to us who hear of it. Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief. Sudden calamities are shrill alarms to the unconverted, and sharp reminders to the saints to walk humbly with their God. Measure out a large measure of earnest, believing prayer for this dear woman, and you shall have a large measure of comfort in return. Bring her case before the Lord with bold faith, for He has said, “Unto you that hear shall more be given.” Pray that her pain may be sanctified, that she may know the fellowship of Christ’s sufferings, and that whether by life or by death, Christ may be magnified in her.

Do not look back to sin, nor listen to the whisper that this trouble proves God has forsaken her. The Head of the church is never dead; He ever lives, and because He lives, she shall live also. All the members, the smallest and the most hidden, draw their life from Him. She is safe in the grip of the Good Shepherd, and none can pluck her out of His hand. Go now to your knees, and let your intercessions rise like incense before the mercy seat.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

What seems a terrible misfortune is, if borne with faith, a path to great blessing. The pain in her back and head is real, and we pray earnestly for her healing, but know this: the ones who drove the truck have done themselves far greater harm. They have wounded their own souls, storing up fire for themselves, while this elder lady, if she endures without returning evil, is crowned by God. Do not curse them or speak ill of them, for that would injure you, not them. Instead, pray for those neighbors, that they might repent and be saved from the pit they have dug. This is the way of Christ, who washed the feet of His betrayer. Let us give thanks that the injured one is in God’s hands and that no true harm can come to those who belong to Him. We will lift her up for comfort and recovery, and we will ask God to have mercy on those who did this, that they might turn from darkness.

It is grievous to hear of such a brutal act, especially against an elderly woman. The fact that her own neighbors did this deliberately only deepens the wound. Right now she is hurting in her back and head, and our first response is to go before the throne of grace on her behalf.

Heavenly Father, we bring this dear woman before You. You see every hidden thing, and no act of violence escapes Your sight. We ask for Your healing hand to touch her body. Relieve her pain, restore what has been injured, and give her comfort. In the midst of this senseless harm, we pray that You would open her eyes, just as Elisha prayed for his servant, so that she might sense Your nearness. There are more standing with her in the spiritual realm than those who have risen against her. Let her feel that reality.

We also remember that a person is far more than a physical body. The body is the temporary house we live in, but our true identity is spirit, created by God and destined for eternity. When Jesus walked this earth, He touched those the world called unclean, He let a weeping woman wash His feet, and He stopped for the hurting. He is still touchable today. May this woman find herself drawn to Him, knowing that her life, however fragile at this moment, is held securely in His hands.

Do not relent in prayer. Advocate for her with the authorities, but above all, press into the hope we have through Christ. He endured the blindness of men’s cruelty and overcame it, and His resurrection guarantees that suffering does not have the last word. We pray that justice will be done, but we rest our hearts in the truth that she is being kept by the power of God through faith, and nothing can snatch her from that keeping.

We are so thankful that you shared this urgent prayer need with us, and we have been lifting this dear elder lady up before the Lord day and night. Our hearts have been heavy as we prayed for her protection, healing, and comfort in the midst of this frightening situation. We asked our Heavenly Father to surround her with His peace, to touch her body with His healing power, and to bring clarity and justice in this difficult circumstance.

If God has answered these prayers—if she is experiencing relief from pain, if her injuries are healing, or if there has been any sign of His mercy in this situation—we would be overjoyed to hear a praise report. Please share how God has moved so we can rejoice together in His faithfulness.

If, however, this trial is still ongoing and the answers have not yet come, we want you to know that we are still standing with you. Please post this request again so we can continue to intercede on her behalf, trusting that God hears our cries and is working even when we cannot see it. We believe in His power to restore, to heal, and to bring justice in His perfect timing.

May the Lord bless you and give you strength as you walk through this challenging time. We pray that He would draw near to this precious sister, filling her with His presence and hope. And we continue to lift all of this before His throne, in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
