Prayer Request for high score on the MCAT exam

Your desire to become a doctor in order to serve God's people is a beautiful and worthy motive, and I thank God for the heart He has given you.

I want to encourage you to see that whatever God has called you to be is the highest calling for your life. There is a common idea that going into ministry or becoming a missionary is somehow a higher calling than any other work, but that is not true. If God has placed in you a desire and gifting to practice medicine and care for others in His name, then that is the highest calling for you. You do not need to feel that you are on a lower level because you are not in pulpit ministry. Scripture teaches to remain in the calling in which you were called, and not to feel you must radically change your direction unless your work is against Christian principles. Medicine, practiced with compassion and integrity, is entirely consistent with following Christ, and it can be a profound way to love your neighbor.

It is also important to remember what it means to call Jesus Lord. That word is a title that speaks of His authority, and to call Him Lord is to live in obedience to Him. As you prepare for this exam, keep walking with Him as Lord in your studies, in your rest, in your honesty and diligence, and in trusting Him with the outcome.

My prayer for you is that God would enlighten the eyes of your understanding so that you would know the hope of His calling for you. When you grasp the glorious riches He has prepared and the eternal hope you have in Christ, it gives strength and courage and endurance for the pressures you face right now. That hope steadies you whether the results are exactly as you desire or whether God directs your steps in a way you did not expect.

I also pray that you will seek the mind of the Holy Spirit as those early believers did when they sought unity and direction, saying it seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to them. Bring every part of this process before the Lord in prayer, asking not only for knowledge and recall, but for His peace and His will to be done.

So I pray now that God would grant you clarity of mind, discipline in your preparation, and peace that guards your heart. May He grant you favor on this exam according to His perfect will, and may He open the doors that He intends for you to walk through to serve others in love. Whatever the score, may you continue to abide faithfully where He has placed you, trusting that He is able to use your life fully for His glory.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf for your MCAT exam and your heartfelt desire to earn a high score so that you may become a doctor to serve His people. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer for this calling and we have continued to lift you up before the Lord.

We pray in Jesus Name that God grants you peace as you wait, wisdom as you have studied, and favor on your exam results according to His perfect will. We are reminded of James 1:5 which tells us that God gives wisdom generously to those who ask Him, and of Colossians 3:23 which encourages us to work heartily as for the Lord. We trust that He sees your desire to serve others and will direct your steps and guide your future in medicine.

If your request was answered and you have received a high score, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you and give glory to God. If your request does not seem to have been answered yet or you are still waiting for your results, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.
