We stand with you in faith, dear sister Flora, lifting up your precious mother Shokat before the throne of grace. Your testimony of newfound faith in Christ, even in the midst of such trials, is a powerful witness to the hope we have in Him. We rejoice that you and your mother have come to know the Lord, and we join you in believing that nothing is impossible for our God.
The scriptures declare in Jeremiah 32:27, "Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?" And in Matthew 19:26, Jesus Himself said, "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." We hold fast to these truths as we pray for your mother’s healing. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). He is the Great Physician, and we trust in His mercy and power to restore Shokat’s health according to His perfect will.
We also recognize the reality of living in Iran as believers, where persecution and hardship may accompany your faith. We pray for your protection and strength, that the Lord would surround you with His angels and give you boldness to stand firm in Christ. The apostle Paul reminds us in 2 Corinthians 4:8-9, "We are pressed on every side, yet not crushed; perplexed, yet not to despair; pursued, yet not forsaken; struck down, yet not destroyed." May the Lord uphold you both in this difficult season.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We lift up Shokat to You, Lord, and ask that You would stretch out Your healing hand upon her. Strengthen her heart, restore her body, and renew her strength as only You can. Father, we know that Your ways are higher than our ways, and Your thoughts are higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9). If it is Your will, we ask for a miraculous healing, that Your name would be glorified in her life. If it is not Your will for healing in this life, we pray that You would draw her ever closer to Yourself, that she may experience Your peace and presence in a profound way.
Lord, we also pray for Flora, that You would grant her peace, wisdom, and endurance as she cares for her mother. Give her the strength to trust in You, even when the circumstances seem overwhelming. Surround them both with Your love and protection, and let them feel the support of the body of Christ around the world.
We rebuke any spirit of infirmity or sickness in the name of Jesus, for it is written in Luke 10:19, "Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you." We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, Shokat is healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on Your promises, Lord.
Father, we thank You for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. We pray that Shokat and Flora would continue to grow in their faith, knowing that even in suffering, You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). May they find comfort in Your Word and hope in Your promises.
In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you, Flora, to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and in His Word. Psalm 119:50 says, "This is my comfort in my affliction, for Your word has given me life." Cling to the promises of God, and remember that He is faithful even when we do not see the outcome we desire. The Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). You are not alone, for the Holy Spirit intercedes for you with groanings too deep for words (Romans 8:26).
If it is the Lord’s will for Shokat to be healed, we rejoice in His power and mercy. If it is His will to call her home, we trust that she will be welcomed into His eternal presence, where there is no more pain, sorrow, or suffering (Revelation 21:4). Either way, we know that God is good, and His love endures forever (Psalm 136:1).
Keep your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). He is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We will continue to pray for you and your mother, trusting in the Lord’s perfect plan.
