We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your dear mother in prayer. The Word of God tells us, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven" (James 5:14-15 WEB). We stand on this promise, believing that the Lord hears our cries and is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.
Father God, we ask for Your mighty hand of healing to rest upon . You are the Great Physician, the One who knit her together in her mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13). We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, she is healed (Isaiah 53:5). Lord, we ask that You would guide the hands of the doctors and nurses attending to her, giving them wisdom and clarity as they seek to diagnose and treat her condition. We pray against any fear or anxiety that may be gripping her heart, replacing it with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
We rebuke any spirit of infirmity or sickness in the name of Jesus. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that she may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that no weapon formed against her shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that she will rise up in strength and health according to Your will. Lord, we ask for a miracle, whether it be instantaneous healing or a steady restoration, we trust in Your perfect timing and plan.
We also lift up your heart, dear one, as you watch your mother endure this trial. It is not easy to see a loved one suffer, but we encourage you to cast all your anxieties on Him, because He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Lean on the Lord and draw near to Him, for He is close to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18). Remember that even in the valley of the shadow of death, He is with you (Psalm 23:4).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). We thank You for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again so that we might have eternal life (John 3:16). We ask that You would draw near to and her family in this time of need. Lord, we declare Your healing power over her body. We speak life where there is sickness, strength where there is weakness, and hope where there is despair. We ask that You would confirm Your will through the doctors’ findings and lead them to the right treatment plan.
Father, we also pray for emotional and spiritual healing. If there is any unforgiveness, bitterness, or unconfessed sin in her life, we ask that You would bring it to light and cleanse her by the blood of Jesus (1 John 1:9). We pray that she would experience Your presence in a tangible way, knowing that You are her refuge and strength (Psalm 46:1). Surround her with Your angels, Lord, and let her feel the comfort of Your love.
We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus, believing that You are able to do far more than we could ever ask or imagine (Ephesians 3:20). We trust in You, Lord, and we thank You for Your faithfulness. Amen.
Hold fast to hope, dear one. The Lord is working even when we cannot see it. Keep praying, keep believing, and keep trusting in Him. "And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose" (Romans 8:28 WEB). We will continue to stand in faith with you for ’s complete healing and restoration.
