We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up ### in prayer as she faces health challenges. Father God, Your Word tells us in 3 John 1:2, "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be healthy, even as your soul prospers." We stand on this promise today, asking for Your healing touch to rest upon ###.
Lord, we know that You are the Great Physician, and nothing is too difficult for You. In Jeremiah 32:27, You declare, "Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?" We believe in Your power to restore, heal, and renew. Please strengthen ###’s body, ease her pain, and guide the hands of those caring for her.
We also ask that You comfort her spirit during this time. Psalm 41:3 says, "Yahweh will sustain him on his sickbed, and restore him from his bed of illness." Let her feel Your presence and peace, knowing that You are with her every step of the way.
Father, if there is any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness in her life, we pray that You would bring it to light and grant her repentance and healing in her soul as well. James 5:16 reminds us, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The insistent prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective."
We rebuke any spirit of infirmity or sickness in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is written in Luke 10:19, "Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you." We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, ### is healed (Isaiah 53:5).
Lord, we also pray for wisdom for her doctors and caregivers. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will direct your paths." Guide every decision and treatment plan according to Your perfect will.
We trust in Your timing, Lord, and we ask that You would be glorified through this situation, whether through healing, endurance, or testimony. May ### and her family draw closer to You through this trial, and may Your name be praised.

One thing we’ve noticed over the years is how much it can mean to someone who is unwell simply to know they aren’t being carried alone. When a person realizes they’re held in prayer, by family, friends, and even people they may never meet, it can settle something deep inside. That quiet sense of being surrounded by care often brings a comfort that medicine alone can’t give. So as you pray, maybe let your mom know, gently and however she can receive it, that she’s not forgotten before God.
While you’re interceding for her, if you’re able to be there in person, don’t underestimate the power of your own quiet presence. A cup of tea, a hand to hold, or just sitting together in the stillness can be a means of God’s peace reaching her right where she is. Your love, even in the small acts, is a kind of prayer in motion.
Father, we bring before you now. You know every detail of her body and what she’s facing. We ask for your healing hand to touch her, for relief where there is pain, and for steady recovery. Give her deep peace of mind and heart, and surround her with your sustaining grace. Strengthen her family, too, and let them sense your nearness each day. We place her in your care, trusting you as the God who is able to do more than we can ask or imagine. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God-conscious-solution-focused-heart-mind-spirit-and-attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. The heart's true groanings, when words seem too slight a vessel for the weight of our care, are often the very prayers the Spirit translates with unutterable yearnings. You ask for . It is well. That stumbling sense of need, the look toward the mercy seat for her, is the Holy Spirit helping your infirmity, making intercession for the saint you love, because you know not what to pray for as you ought. He sees the meaning of the stammering cry, just as a tender mother knows her child’s want before the little lips can frame it.
But notice the question that rises from a stricken heart: why has the Lord smitten, and there is no healing? We looked for peace, and behold trouble. This, too, is a form of pleading. It throws the soul back upon the covenant, asking, Are you not the God who heals us? It is the wrestling of a soul that will not let go. And you have this grand advantage in your intercession for your own mother, hers was the voice, I cannot doubt, that first carried your name before the throne of grace when you were yet in the cradle, or before. Now it is your sacred privilege to return the plea. It is a part of our likeness to the Divine Savior, who ever lives to make intercession, that we should cry day and night for those bound to us by blood and affection.
The healing she needs must be sought where pardon and health are one. The inhabitants of the eternal city shall not say, "I am sick," for the Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in his wings. That healing flows from the tree of life, whose leaves are for the healing of the nations, and whose fruit banishes all curse. We are not yet in that land, but its healing influences drop upon us here below. Look to Jesus. He was made perfect as the Captain of our salvation through suffering, and therefore he has a peculiar sympathy with every trembling frame. He knows what it is to be encompassed with infirmity. Though his own lips bore no stain of sin’s sickness, he bore our griefs and carried our sorrows. That suffering has ennobled the whole work of grace, guaranteeing that he will see the fruit of his soul’s travail in our restoration. Bring to him in your persistent intercession. God forbid that you should sin against the Lord by ceasing to pray for her until that healing, whether it comes swiftly in this life or perfectly in the life to come, is fully revealed. Loving father, gracious mother, join your fervent cries, you shall yet obtain your desire.

He who touched the hand of Peter’s wife’s mother not only quenched the fever, but gave her back perfect health all at once. This is the power of the Lord, and it is not a power that has grown old or feeble with the passing of years. Entreat Him for your mother with this confidence. The sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God. Even when the event seems contrary to hope, let no offense take root in your heart. The sisters of Lazarus heard the word and yet saw him die, but they still came to Christ, not thinking He had spoken falsely.
But while you pray for her bodily frame, consider also the health of her soul, which is of far greater account. There are many whose dispositions are like water, cold and unstable, ever rushing down the steep places of worldly cares, gluttony, or love of ease. These things wear away the strength of the body and strip the soul of its manliness. Frugality and a sober mind are the mother of health. The Lord who once made water into wine still changes our weak and unstable wills. Bring her to the Lord in your prayers, asking that her will, too, be changed into the quality of wine, so that her soul might have spiritual warmth and gladness, and she might not use a restored health to run back to that dishonor from which sickness was meant to deliver her. For what profit is it if the fever leaves but the soul remains cold?
We rejoice not only when we hear of the health of those we love, but far more when we see them restored, and most of all when this comes contrary to all human expectation. This was the case with Epaphroditus, and it is our hope for your mother. Continue in prayer with one accord, without ceasing. Even if you do not see the fruit at once, do not despair. A tree may receive ten strokes and not fall, then be brought down by a single blow; yet the last blow is made successful by all those that came before. Your eager desire and love for her will not fail of its effect. Look for her restoration with this expectant joy.
