Prayer request for cattles. A ### and ### passed in ###-###. The cattles were in their names. Since the ### passing no one has known how to ranch them. The cattles was first placed in the younger daughters name but she neglected them. She was very traditional and had a ceremony. She didn't ranch them. She passed away. Then she put the cattles in her son's name that's traditional. He had been ###. He's used ###, ###. Now his ### are no longer working. The family was supposed to report the abandon cattles to authorities but no one has reported on the issue. Now the state will be experiencing water cuts. The cattle need prayer. Some of the outside family members are concerned about the upcoming water cuts the state will experience in 2027. Please pray for the family. That someone will learn how to ride a horse to be able to check up on the cattles. That God helps get few cattles to safe water location if cattle areas of water get affected.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this situation concerning the cattle and the family entrusted with their care. Father, You are the Creator of all living things, and You have given us dominion over the animals of the earth (Genesis 1:26). We ask that You would intervene in this matter, for the sake of both the livestock and the family who bears responsibility for them.

Lord, we pray for wisdom and provision for this family. The cattle have been neglected, and the weight of this responsibility now rests on those who may not know how to care for them. We ask that You raise up someone, whether from within the family or outside of it, who has the knowledge, skill, and willingness to step in and steward these animals well. Teach them how to ride a horse, if that is what is needed, and give them the strength and endurance to check on the cattle, especially as water becomes scarce. We declare that You are the God who provides (Philippians 4:19), and we trust You to meet every need in this situation.

We also lift up the spiritual condition of this family. The traditions and ceremonies mentioned do not align with Your Word, Lord. We rebuke any ungodly influences that may have led them away from Your truth. We pray that their eyes would be opened to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Father, draw them to Yourself, that they may know the peace and guidance that comes only from a relationship with You.

We ask for mercy regarding the water cuts that are coming. You are the God who sends rain on the just and the unjust (Matthew 5:45), and we pray that You would provide water for these cattle, even in the midst of scarcity. If it is Your will, lead them to safe locations where water is available, and protect them from harm. We also pray for the family’s hearts to be softened toward the authorities. It is not Your will for them to hide or neglect their responsibilities. Give them the courage to do what is right, even if it is difficult.

Lord, we also bring before You the issue of neglect. Proverbs 12:10 tells us, "A righteous man respects the life of his animal," and we ask that You would stir compassion in the hearts of those who have turned away from this responsibility. Let them see the cattle not as a burden, but as a trust from You, one that requires faithful stewardship.

We pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who reigns over all creation and holds all things together (Colossians 1:17). May Your will be done in this situation, and may Your name be glorified. Amen.

We’ve been thinking about the long chain of loss behind this, it’s no small thing when one person’s passing leaves a whole herd without a caretaker, and then another loss follows. That kind of grief, layered on top of so much practical pressure, can wear a family down in ways that aren’t always visible.

What stands out to us most is that someone needs to learn to ride and check on these cattle, not someday, but soon, especially with water cuts coming. That small step of one person learning basic horsemanship and herd care could open a door that feels closed right now. It might be a nephew, a distant cousin, or even a neighbor with ranching experience who’d be willing to teach while helping; sometimes the answer isn’t inside the grieving family but nearby in the community they trust.

The water worry is heavy. While none of us knows exactly how regional cuts will play out, we can ask God for practical wisdom, maybe a few cattle relocated early, maybe a creative water sharing arrangement, maybe someone in the family who finally feels free to report the situation without fear of blame. You don’t have to carry the weight of the whole herd at once; God sees each animal and every person tangled up in this.

Father, thank you that you care about what burdens us, even cattle on dry land and families who don’t know where to start. Please raise up someone with the courage and steady hands to learn what’s needed, and give the family unity about when and how to move a few animals toward safer water. Guard hearts from guilt over what’s been neglected; replace it with simple, doable resolve. In Jesus’ name, amen.

The neglect of those cattle is a plain symptom of a deeper neglect, the neglect of the soul’s true Steward, who has entrusted us with every creature and every hour. It is written, “It is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.” When a man leaves his heart out of his work, whether in the field or in the family, he brings dishonour to his Master and mischief to all that depend upon him. You speak of ceremonies and traditions, yet the beasts are left to wander, and no one will mount a horse to seek them. What is that but idling and trifling with a charge from God?

You have a crisis at hand, water cuts, you say, in 2027. But there is a present crisis of the soul, far more urgent. While life lasts, Jesus is passing by, and His voice is stretched forth all day long to a gainsaying people. Will you neglect the living water while fretting over earthly supplies?

Christ says, “Whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst.” That water becomes in a man a well springing up, not a stagnant pool, it is an operative force, fresh and life-giving. But first there must be confession of laxity, of neglect of prayer, of leaving the Word unread, of caring more for outward forms than for the weightier matters of obedience. The Lord hides His face, and we become weak as water; without His fellowship, we can neither plead with Him nor win souls. Yet His invitation is frequent and tender: “Come unto me.” Turn from ceremonies that cannot save, and seek the One who can make even the desert rejoice.

Let the family gather to prayer; let private supplication be diligent. If you will learn to ride a horse, learn first to bend the knee. God may then guide some willing hand to gather the scattered herd and lead them to safe pastures. But remember, the greater danger is not the drought of the land, but the drought of the soul that neglects so great salvation.

The neglect of your own cattle is a denial of the faith. You ask for prayer while your hands are idle. Has not the Apostle declared, "If any provide not for his own, and especially for those of his own house, he is worse than an infidel"? These beasts are your family's charge, entrusted by God, yet you have left them to wander and suffer.

The woman who first held them busied herself with a ceremony, adorning a table with gold while Christ hungered. What did that ritual profit her? She provided not for her own, and so she perished in her sin. Now her son, bound by blood to care for them, has likewise abandoned duty.

You say his methods fail; why then does no one learn what is needed? Why does no one mount a horse and ride to them? Why does no one report the neglect to the authorities, though the law demands it? You hope for God to send help while you sit still.

Do not make a mockery of prayer. It is good to ask God's aid, but He has already given you hands, reason, and strength. First do what lies before you: teach a man to ride, move the animals to water, seek wisdom from those who know ranching. Provide for the flesh of your household, which includes these creatures that sustain your family.

Water cuts threaten, but eternal judgment threatens more. How shall you escape if you neglect so great a salvation while you fret over temporal things? Repent, act, and then God will bless the work of your hands. For He does not honor those who deck His altar with silken cloths while His creatures die of thirst outside.

Faith without works is dead, and you are called to be a steward, not a bystander.

The burden you’re carrying for these cattle and this family is not a small thing, but I want to remind you of a truth that runs through the whole of Scripture: when God’s people face impossible needs, He often provides in ways no one could foresee. The lack of water, the neglect that has set in, the uncertainty over who will step up, all of it can be laid before the Lord, because He cares about the practical needs of our families and our livestock.

The neglected cattle didn’t get this way overnight. There has been a succession of people who could have taken responsibility but didn’t. At the heart of the matter is a call to family stewardship. The Word is clear that someone who won’t provide for his own household has denied the faith. Yet there’s also a time when human strength runs out and we have to say, “Lord, You take care of this. I can’t handle it.” That’s not a lack of faith; it’s the beginning of real dependence on Him.

Think of how the Lord once commanded a valley to fill with water for a desperate army, its people and their cattle dying of thirst. He told them they wouldn’t see wind or rain, yet ditches would fill. That’s the kind of God we serve, the same One who healed a poisoned spring and made it sweet again, who opened a rock in the wilderness to give drink to a grumbling multitude and their animals. If He can do that, directing a few cattle to safe water and preserving them through a state water cut is a light thing in His sight. He can lead someone to learn what they need to learn, whether that’s riding a horse, repairing a well, or finding a spring that hasn’t been mapped.

So pray boldly that God will raise up a family member who feels the weight of this and acts on it. Pray that the same sense of responsibility that should have been there from the start would awaken in someone’s heart. And as you pray, take practical steps where you can, but don’t bear the anxiety as though it all depends on human effort. Christ Himself offered living water that forever quenches the deepest thirst, and while that points to our eternal need, it also assures us that He is not indifferent to our daily, tangible survival. He who notices a sparrow’s fall knows about these cattle.

Commit this entire tangled situation into His hands. Ask Him to overrule the neglect, the traditions that didn’t help, and the upcoming water shortages. He is able to bring order out of confusion and to make a way where there is no visible path. Let the prayer be that someone will not only learn to check on the cattle but will also discover that God has already prepared what they need, even if it’s hidden until the hour it is revealed.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with this heavy burden concerning your family’s cattle and the many layers of care they require. It has been on our hearts to lift up every detail before the Lord—seeking wisdom for those who must learn to bridle a horse so the herd can be properly tended, pleading for the Lord’s mercy to guide even a few cattle to safe water sources should the coming cuts affect their grazing lands, and asking the Holy Spirit to soften hearts so the matter can be reported with integrity before the authorities.
