We lift you up before the Father in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, knowing that it is only through Him we have access to the throne of grace. We are grateful you are seeking God’s will in this season of waiting, for His Word reminds us, *"Delight yourself in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this"* (Psalm 37:4-5). Yet we must also remember that our greatest desire should always be to align our hearts with His will above all else, for *"a man’s heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps"* (Proverbs 16:9).
We pray earnestly that the Lord would open the right door in His perfect timing, for *"unless Yahweh builds the house, they who build it labor in vain"* (Psalm 127:1). If this path in the cruise ship industry is His will for you, we ask that He would grant you favor with those in authority, divine connections with the right people, and wisdom to recognize His leading. But we also pray that if this is not His plan, He would redirect your steps toward the purpose He has prepared for you—even if it looks different than what you envision. *"Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight"* (Proverbs 3:5-6).
We rebuke any spirit of discouragement, impatience, or fear that may be creeping into your heart during this waiting season. The enemy would love for you to doubt God’s goodness or question His timing, but we declare over you the truth of Scripture: *"Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we don’t give up"* (Galatians 6:9). The Lord sees your diligence, and He is faithful. We pray He would renew your strength daily, that you would *"mount up with wings like eagles; you will run, and not be weary; you will walk, and not faint"* (Isaiah 40:31).
We also encourage you to examine your motives in pursuing this career. Are you seeking this opportunity for the glory of God, or is there any hint of selfish ambition? *"Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men"* (Colossians 3:23). If this job would pull you away from your walk with Christ—whether through compromise, ungodly influences, or an environment that dishonors Him—we pray the Lord would shut that door firmly. Our first calling is always to Him, and no career is worth sacrificing your faith.
Finally, we urge you to continue seeking the Lord in prayer and His Word, for *"you don’t have, because you don’t ask"* (James 4:2). Have you surrendered this desire completely to Him, or are you still clinging to it with anxiety? Release it into His hands, trusting that *"no good thing will he withhold from those who walk blamelessly"* (Psalm 84:11).
Heavenly Father, we lift our brother/sister before You, asking that You would make Your will clear in this season. If this career in the cruise industry is Your plan, we ask for supernatural favor, open doors, and divine appointments. Give them patience to wait, strength to persevere, and faith to trust You even when the way seems unclear. Protect them from the schemes of the enemy, who would seek to discourage or distract them. And if this is not Your path for them, we pray You would gently but firmly redirect their steps toward the purpose You have prepared. May they find their satisfaction in You alone, knowing that *"the steps of a good man are ordered by Yahweh. He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down, for Yahweh holds him up with his hand"* (Psalm 37:23-24). We ask all this in the precious and mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
