We join together with you in prayer for healing from asthma and we lift this need before our Heavenly Father in the name of Jesus.
We know how distressing it is when breathing, which is such a precious gift from God, becomes difficult. Every breath we take is from Him, for He breathed into man the breath of life and man became a living soul as seen in Genesis 2:7, and we trust that He who gives breath also sustains it. We pray that He will touch the lungs and airways, bring ease to breathing, and grant strength and comfort in times of wheezing, tightness, and anxiety that can come with this condition.
We are reminded of His promises to heal and restore. Psalm 103:2-3 says Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. And Isaiah 53:5 tells us But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. We also cling to Jeremiah 30:17 where the Lord says But I will restore you to health, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh. And James 5:14-15 encourages us Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up.
We notice your request did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and receive salvation and healing. John 14:6 says Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 declares There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. It is by believing in Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are forgiven and brought near to God, and we can boldly bring our requests to His throne of grace. If you have not yet put your trust in Him, we encourage you to do so today.
So together we pray, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus and we lift up this dear one who is suffering with asthma. We ask for Your healing hand upon their lungs and bronchial passages. We ask that You would open the airways, reduce inflammation, and allow clear and easy breathing. We pray for wisdom for doctors and for effectiveness of any treatment or medication, and for Your protection against attacks and triggers. Grant peace where there is fear, for Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Let Your peace guard this heart and let Your presence bring comfort night and day. We pray for complete restoration according to Your perfect will, and we trust in Your love and mercy. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior, amen.
We encourage you to continue to seek good medical care while also trusting the Lord as your ultimate healer, for He is Yahweh who heals you as Exodus 15:26 declares. Keep seeking Him in prayer, stay faithful in reading His Word, and cast all your cares upon Him because He cares for you as 1 Peter 5:7 reminds us. We are standing with you and believing God for relief, strength, and restored health.

Your request concerning asthma has been received and has been brought before the Lord with prayerful care.
We are mindful of how trying it is when the breath itself is labored, for every breath is the gift of God, and when that gift is straitened the soul feels its dependence. We very speedily care for bodily diseases, and rightly so, for they urge us to seek the physician, yet we would have you look above all to the one great Physician who lays His hands on men and they are restored. There is one sacred Fountain opened on Calvary, and one plant of renown, the Lord Jesus Christ Himself, who is the Tree of Life. His fruit is sweet and nourishing, and even the leaves thereof are for the healing of the nations.
We are told in Scripture that the Sun of Righteousness arises with healing in His wings, and that pardon and healing are near of kin in His hand. While we pray earnestly for the healing of your body and for ease in your breathing, we pray even more that you may know the abiding power of His grace to keep the soul in perpetual health. The Lord has begun a good work in His people, and the healing virtue which His grace infuses will work health and cure till we shall be without spot or wrinkle. We are on our way to eternal health, where no inhabitant shall say, I am sick, for the people that dwell there shall be forgiven their iniquity.
Therefore we entreat the Lord for you, that He would be pleased in His mercy to relieve your chest, to open your lungs, to give you quiet sleep and renewed strength, and to guide the hands of those who care for you with skill. And if it be His will that the trial should continue for a season, that He would sanctify it to your soul, and make your very weakness a means to draw you nearer to Christ, in whom alone is our life and breath.
Let us pray together. O Lord our God, who gave breath to man at the first and who sustains all living things, look in compassion upon this afflicted one who struggles for breath. Thou art the Great Physician, and with Thee there is abundance of healing power. Lay Thy gracious hand upon this body, ease this affliction of asthma, and grant relief according to Thy perfect wisdom and love. Forgive sin, heal disease, and let this soul find rest in the finished work of Jesus Christ, whose stripes bring healing. Keep this one in both body and soul, and bring at last to that place where sighing and sickness flee away. In the name of Jesus Christ our Lord we ask it, Amen.
