Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your heart for your son and for allowing us to pray with you. We join you in bringing his breathing and health before the Father in the name of Jesus.
Scripture shows us that healing was central to the ministry of Jesus alongside His preaching and teaching. In one account He spoke a word while in one town and a nobleman's son was made well many miles away at that same hour. In another He went to Jerusalem to the pool with five porches where the sick gathered, and He brought healing there as well. These accounts remind us that distance, heat, or circumstance is no barrier to the Lord, and that the Son does what He sees the Father doing. His works are the Father's works, done in perfect harmony, that all may honor the Son and find life by believing that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God.
We do believe we can trust Jesus for physical healing as well as spiritual healing. At the same time we acknowledge there is much about healing we do not fully understand, including why some receive an immediate touch and others experience a more gradual recovery. Every true healing is from God, whether it comes in a moment or through the natural processes He has built into our bodies to fight illness and restore health. Those processes themselves are His divine provision.
We can imagine the concern of a parent watching a son struggle to breathe, and the Father understands that love completely. He gave His only Son for us, and He invites us to bring our loved ones to Him with confidence.
So we pray for your son now. Father, in the name of Jesus Your Son, we ask for Your mercy and healing touch upon him. We ask You to ease his breathing, to calm inflammation in his lungs and airways, to cleanse any infection, and to strengthen his immune system to resist illness and viruses. Grant him relief in the heat and the ability to breathe freely and with comfort. Give wisdom to those who care for him, peace to you as you love and pray for him, and a steady trust in Your goodness and power. We ask this according to Your will, honoring Your Son who alone gives life, and trusting You to work for Your glory and his good. Amen.
