We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer as you face these profound physical and mental challenges. Your suffering is not unseen by our Heavenly Father, who promises in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." We stand with you in faith, believing that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20).
First, we want to acknowledge the courage it takes to endure both schizophrenia and this severe bowel condition. It is clear you have sought medical help and are doing what you can to manage these afflictions. We pray that the Lord would guide the hands of your doctors and give them wisdom beyond their own understanding to find a solution that brings relief. Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
We also rebuke this illness in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is written in Luke 10:19, "Behold, I give you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will in any way hurt you." We declare that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and we pray for restoration and healing in every cell, tissue, and organ affected by this disease. By the stripes of Jesus, you are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we claim that promise over your life today.
We pray for a miracle healing, Lord, knowing that nothing is impossible for You (Matthew 19:26). We ask that You would intervene in this situation and bring relief to this bowel condition. If it is Your will, we pray for complete restoration, but we also trust in Your sovereignty, knowing that even in suffering, You are working all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28). Give our brother strength to endure and peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7).
We also want to encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in this trial. James 5:14-15 says, "Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up." If possible, we encourage you to reach out to your local church community for prayer and support. You are not alone in this battle.
Lastly, we want to gently remind you of the hope we have in Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12). If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust in Him, for He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). Salvation is found in no one else, and it is a free gift of grace through faith in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Heavenly Father, we come before You now, lifting up our brother who is suffering. We ask that You would touch his body and bring healing to his mind and bowels. Lord, we know that You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your power to restore and renew. Give him strength for each day and peace in the midst of this storm. Surround him with Your love and the support of Your people. We declare that by the stripes of Jesus, he is healed, and we thank You for the miracle that is on the way. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
