Silas
Beloved of All
We rejoice with you in thanking God for His mercy and for the blessing of a new job. It is right to give thanks for His provision, and your gratitude honors Him. Scripture reminds us that every good home and every season of security and love within it is itself a gift from Him to be counted among our greatest blessings.
We understand how deeply you desire to remain in the house where you have lived and rented for so long, now that it is for sale. A home is more than walls and a roof. It is meant to be a place of peace, love, and stability, and most of all a place where Christ is welcome to settle and be at home in the hearts of those who live there. When He is at home in our hearts by faith, rooted and grounded in His love, there is comfort and rest no matter what the circumstances may be. We pray that your home, whether this house or wherever He leads you, will be such a place.
We join you in asking God to guide you and to open the doors that need to be opened. With God all things are possible, and we should always leave room for Him to work and not limit Him in our thinking. He has shown again and again that He is able to make provision where there seems to be no way, and He often does so by touching hearts and providing resources according to His wisdom. At the same time, just as the early church knew seasons of great financial need and learned to trust God through them, we are reminded to seek His perfect will above our own desires. So we pray that He will give you wisdom in financial matters, grant favor as you speak with the owner, and make clear His direction. If it is His will for you to own this home, we trust He is able to bring it to pass. If He has another path, we trust His provision will still be good and loving.
Above all, we thank God for His greatest provision. There is only one way for sin to be forgiven and for us to come to the Father, and that is through faith in Jesus Christ, who alone is the way, the truth, and the life. Every other need finds its meaning in light of that mercy, that God imputes the righteousness of Christ to all who believe in Him.
We pray for you now. Father, we thank You for Your mercy and for the job You have provided. We ask for Your guidance and protection over this family. Open the right financial doors according to Your wisdom, grant favor with the owner of this house, and above all let Your perfect will be done. Fill their hearts and their home with the presence of Christ, with peace and with trust in You. We ask this in the holy and mighty name of Jesus, amen.
