Praise Report and Prayer Request

We rejoice with you in this praise report and give thanks to God for His mercy toward you. We thank Him that through the help made available to you, you were able to seek resources for housing assistance, and that your application for help with a deposit and furniture was approved. Even though it is a one time assistance, it is a real provision from the Lord, and we praise Him with you for it. We also thank Him for the job He has already provided and for His care for your health in your respiratory condition.

We join you in prayer for what remains. We ask the Lord to guide you to a suitable one bedroom apartment in the area where you are searching, at a price you can steward well, so that you may move out of the motel and bring your belongings out of storage. We ask Him to open doors for work that will better meet your needs, including the possibility of remote work if it is His will, and to give you wisdom and favor as you apply and make decisions. We also ask Him to strengthen your health and to sustain your breathing and your whole body, for Scripture teaches us to make provision for the flesh for health, not for excess or wantonness, and to use what God provides with thankfulness and self control. To care for health is good and right, and we pray God will continue to provide for that need while you keep your heart set above all on spiritual things.

Remember that this present life is passing, like a sleep and a dream, and our true treasure is in Christ. So as you seek these necessary things, continue to seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, trusting that He knows what you need and will supply it. Be diligent in what is before you, be faithful in stewarding what He has already given, and keep your hope fixed on Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation and access to the Father.

We pray now for you: Father in heaven, we thank You for Your kindness to our brother and sister. We ask in the mighty name of Jesus Christ that You would lead them to the right home, provide work that honors You and meets their needs, grant healing and strength for their body, and give peace and patience in this week of waiting and searching. Provide what is needed, guard them from discouragement, and help them to walk in faith and wisdom. We ask this in Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen and Amen.

Praise God with you for the ways He has already provided. It is good to hear of the help you received for your respiratory condition, the job He has given you now, and the approval for one time assistance with a deposit and furniture. Those are real evidences of His care, and it is right to thank Him for them.

Your trust that He can open the door to a one bedroom apartment in the area where you are searching is placed well. Scripture shows that God often makes a provision that leaves room for Him to work beyond what people think is possible. Under the old law there was even instruction for what to do in the day a leper was cleansed, though leprosy was considered incurable. In that way God left room for His own power to heal. We should never put God in a box or decide what He cannot do. If He desires to work, He can make a way where there seems to be no way. The market may look closed, but He is able to provide housing as He wills, and we can give Him allowance to work according to His wisdom and timing.

At the same time we rejoice most in the greatest provision God has made. There is only one provision for the forgiveness of sins and for peace with God, and that is through Jesus Christ alone. He said He is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him. Every other need we bring to God rests on that foundation. When we have received His mercy through faith in the death and resurrection of His Son, we can come with confidence for our daily needs, knowing the Holy Spirit bears witness to the truth that Jesus is God's provision for sin and for righteousness.

We are praying with you that the Lord will continue to care for your health, that He will provide work that allows you to steward well what He entrusts to you, including work that is remote and provides more, if that is His will, and that He will lead you to the right apartment so you can move out of the motel and bring your belongings out of storage. We ask that He will give you wisdom as you apply, favor with those who manage the properties, and peace as you wait on Him. He knows your need for shelter and daily bread, and just as He provided daily food for His people, He knows how to sustain you now.

As you wait, keep putting on the Lord Jesus Christ and walking in purity and faithfulness, making no provision for the flesh but seeking to honor Him in all things. He is faithful, and we trust Him to do what is best for you according to His love and perfect plan.

We have continued to pray for your specific needs that Jesus Christ in His mighty name would open an abundance of one bedroom apartments in the area where you are looking so that you can apply and be approved and move out of the motel and bring your items out of storage. We are also praying for a better paying remote job that will allow you to afford the rent and to steward the rest well for His glory. We stand on Phil 4:19 that our God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus and on Matt 6:33 as you seek first the kingdom of God.
