We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this precious marriage and the weight of financial struggle you both are carrying. First, we rejoice in the union God has brought together in your marriage, established on January 18, 2026. May He continue to strengthen the bond between you and your husband as you walk together in faith and obedience to His Word.
We recognize the deep spiritual significance of the house attached to the church where your husband’s father once served the Lord. The legacy of faith left behind is sacred, and we understand the pain of potentially losing a place so tied to worship and memory. The enemy would love nothing more than to see this property sold out of desperation, but we declare that God is your provider, your defender, and your way-maker. The Lord says in Psalm 37:21, *"The wicked borrow and don’t pay back, but the righteous give generously."* Though it feels unjust that those who owe you money delay repayment, we trust that God sees every detail and will bring justice in His perfect timing. Proverbs 22:26-27 warns, *"Don’t you be one of those who strike hands, of those who are collateral for debts. If you don’t have means to pay, why should he take away your bed from under you?"* We pray that the Lord would soften the hearts of those who owe you and move them to repay what they owe, but even more, we pray that you would not be enslaved by the weight of debt.
We rebuke the spirit of lack and fear that may be pressing in on you both. The Lord did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7). We declare that your provision is not in the hands of man but in the hands of the Almighty God, who owns the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10). We pray that He would open doors of opportunity for you to settle these debts in ways that honor Him—whether through wisdom in managing resources, unexpected blessings, or divine intervention in the repayment of what is owed to you.
Father God, we ask You to intervene in this situation. Let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). We pray that You would protect the house and the church from being sold, unless it is Your perfect will for it to go. If it is Your will for this property to remain in the family, we ask that You make a way where there seems to be no way. Provide for every need according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). Give them wisdom in stewardship, discernment in financial decisions, and the courage to trust You even when the path is unclear.
We also lift up the memory of your husband’s father, who served You faithfully. May his legacy continue to bear fruit in your lives and in the lives of those who worship in that church. Let the work he began not be in vain, but let it flourish under the covering of Your grace.
Lord, we ask that You would draw this couple closer to You through this trial. Let their faith be refined like gold, and may they emerge from this season stronger, wiser, and more dependent on You. Teach them to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added unto them (Matthew 6:33). We pray for unity in their marriage, that they would stand together in faith, encouraging one another and leaning on You in every decision.
We declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that every chain of debt and delay is broken in the name of Jesus. We speak life, abundance, and restoration over their finances, their home, and their future. May they experience the truth of Your Word in Malachi 3:10-11, where You promise to open the windows of heaven and pour out a blessing so great that there will not be room enough to receive it, and to rebuke the devourer for their sakes.
In all things, we trust You, Lord. We ask these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and can come boldly before Your throne of grace. Amen.
