Disciple of Prayer
Hello dear prayer team, I would like to ask for your prayers. I am currently in the process of healing from a past relationship that ended a few months ago. Sometimes I still feel sad, miss that person, and find it hard to completely let go. But I believe that Jesus has already prepared a much greater plan for my life. Please pray that I may be fully released from this pain and longing, so that my heart can be filled with peace, trust in His promises, and readiness to welcome the new season and the right person that God has prepared for me. Thank you so much for lifting me up in your prayers. May God bless you abundantly. 🙏✨

We are deeply moved by your heart’s cry, ###, and we stand with you in this season of healing, trusting that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. Your faith in God’s greater plan is a testament to His work in you, and we rejoice that you are looking to Him for restoration. The pain of a broken relationship is real, and the longing you feel is a reminder of how deeply God has wired us for love—but first and foremost, for *His* love. The enemy often uses past relationships to distract us from the future God has prepared, but we declare that your heart will no longer be held captive by what was, but will be fully surrendered to what *will be* in Christ.

The Word of God reminds us in **Psalm 34:18**, *“Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.”* And in **Isaiah 43:18-19**, He commands, *“Don’t remember the former things, and don’t consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. It springs out now. Don’t you know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”* ###, God is not only healing you—He is *preparing* you. The emptiness you feel is an invitation for Him to fill you anew with His presence, His purpose, and His perfect timing for a godly marriage if that is His will.

We must also gently but firmly address the danger of idolizing a past relationship. If this bond was outside of God’s design—for instance, if it involved emotional or physical intimacy before marriage (fornication) or was with someone who did not share your faith—then the grief you feel may also be tied to the conviction of the Holy Spirit, calling you to repentance and full surrender. **1 Corinthians 6:18** warns, *“Flee sexual immorality! ‘Every sin that a man does is outside the body,’ but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.”* And **2 Corinthians 6:14** commands, *“Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?”* If any of these apply, we urge you to confess this before the Lord, seek His forgiveness, and release any lingering ties in Jesus’ name. True healing comes when we align our desires with His holiness.

That said, we celebrate your trust in God’s promise for a future spouse. The Bible is clear that marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6), and we pray that as you wait, you will pursue a *courtship*—not just a relationship—rooted in Christ, with marriage as the godly goal. **Proverbs 3:5-6** says, *“Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.”* This is your promise, sister. Let go of the steering wheel, and let Him direct your steps.

Now, let us pray over you:

*Heavenly Father, we lift up ### before Your throne of grace, where mercy flows and healing begins. Lord, You see the ache in her heart—the nights of longing, the moments of doubt, the tears shed in secret. But You also see the future You’ve ordained for her, a future filled with hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We ask that You break every chain of emotional bondage tied to this past relationship. Sever any ungodly soul ties in the name of Jesus, and fill the void with Your perfect love that casts out all fear (1 John 4:18).*

*If there was sin involved—whether fornication, idolatry of the relationship, or unequally yoked bonds—we ask for the blood of Jesus to cleanse her completely. Let conviction lead to repentance, and repentance to restoration. Holy Spirit, guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7), and remind her daily that her worth is found in You alone.*

*Father, we thank You that ###’s story is not over—it is being rewritten by Your hand. Prepare her now for the godly husband You may have for her, a man who loves You above all else and will lead her closer to You. But even more, prepare her to be wholly Yours, satisfied in You alone. Teach her to wait well, to seek Your kingdom first (Matthew 6:33), and to find joy in this season of preparation.*

*We rebuke the spirit of sadness, nostalgia, and despair in Jesus’ name. Let every memory that does not glorify You be erased by the power of the cross. Replace her mourning with gladness (Psalm 30:11), her anxiety with peace, and her longing with contentment in Your presence.*

*Lord, let ###’s testimony be one of redemption—that You turned her pain into praise, her ashes into beauty (Isaiah 61:3). Strengthen her to walk in victory, knowing that the One who began a good work in her will complete it (Philippians 1:6).*

*We pray all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, our Healer and Redeemer. Amen.*

###, cling to this truth: *God is not withholding love from you—He IS love, and He is preparing you to receive it in the fullest way possible.* Surround yourself with believers who will speak life over you, dive into Scripture daily, and serve others as a way to shift your focus from your pain to His purpose. The right season—and the right person, if it is God’s will—will come. Until then, let Jesus be enough.

We are standing with you in faith. Keep trusting Him.

Dear ###,

We've been thinking about you and wanted to reach out with some encouragement. We know that healing is a journey, and it's okay to have ups and downs. It's like hiking a mountain - you might take two steps forward and one step back, but you're still making progress.

We want you to know that we're cheering you on, and we believe in the strength and resilience God has placed in you. Remember, even when you feel sad or miss that person, it's okay to feel that way. God is big enough to handle those feelings. What's important is that you keep turning to Him, trusting that He's working things out for your good.

We love the way you're looking ahead to the future God has for you. That's a beautiful place to be! Keep your eyes on that horizon, and let it guide your steps. The past is behind you, and God is preparing something amazing for you. It might not feel like it right now, but trust that He's got a plan.

We're here for you, ###. Keep holding on to Jesus, and let Him fill your heart with His peace and love. The best is yet to come!

Praying for you in Jesus' name,

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!
