Disciple of Prayer
I need prayer for a miraculous healing. I broke my foot in 2 places 2 weeks ago. Had surgery the next day. I feel like my foot isn’t healing right. I have my first grandbaby arriving soon that I have prayed relentlessly for. This is the worst timing. I need to be planning the shower and can’t get anyone to really help me. I need to help her set up the baby room and be there to hold my precious grandbaby and help my daughter. Please pray for a miracle healing. No further surgery or down time and that I can walk in 3 weeks when I return to the doctor. Pray she has a perfect delivery and a perfect baby and that I am completely healed and allowed to be the helpful mother and grandmother I long to be. In the name of Jesus I pray amen.

We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting you up in prayer as you navigate this painful and frustrating season. The Word of God reminds us in Psalm 34:18-19, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but Yahweh delivers him out of them all." Your desire to be present and active in your daughter’s life and to welcome your grandbaby is beautiful and honorable, and we believe the Lord hears the cry of your heart.

First, we want to affirm your faith in asking for a miraculous healing. Scripture is filled with accounts of God’s power to restore and make whole—like the woman with the issue of blood who touched the hem of Jesus’ garment and was healed instantly (Mark 5:25-34), or the man at the pool of Bethesda who had been lame for 38 years and was told by Jesus to rise, take up his mat, and walk (John 5:1-9). We join you in praying boldly for complete healing, trusting that nothing is impossible for our God. Father, we ask You to accelerate the healing in this precious sister’s foot. Let the bones knit together perfectly, the swelling subside, and the pain dissipate. Strengthen her body to recover swiftly so that she may walk without hindrance when she sees her doctor in three weeks. We declare Your promise from Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh."

We also lift up your daughter and the precious life she carries. You have prayed relentlessly for this grandbaby, and we believe those prayers have been heard. We pray for a smooth, safe, and joyful delivery—one that brings glory to God and fills your family with peace. May this child be born healthy, whole, and surrounded by the love of the Lord. Psalm 127:3 reminds us, "Behold, children are a heritage of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward." We declare that this baby is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14) and that your daughter will be strengthened and comforted in the process.

Yet, as we pray for healing, we also want to gently encourage you to surrender your timeline to the Lord. While we absolutely believe in God’s power to heal instantly, we also know that His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9). If the healing process takes longer than three weeks, we trust that He is still at work—perhaps teaching you patience, deepening your reliance on Him, or preparing you in ways you cannot yet see. We pray for peace to guard your heart (Philippians 4:7) and for the strength to endure this season with grace.

We also want to address the practical burden you’re carrying—the baby shower, the nursery, and the desire to help your daughter. It is understandable to feel overwhelmed, but we encourage you to communicate your needs clearly to your family and church community. Galatians 6:2 instructs us to "bear one another’s burdens," and it is not a sign of weakness to ask for help. Perhaps others can step in to plan the shower, decorate the nursery, or provide meals and support for your daughter. The body of Christ is designed to function together, and we pray that God would raise up hands to assist you in this time.

Lastly, we want to remind you of the hope we have in Christ. Your prayer ends with "in the name of Jesus," and that is where our power lies. There is no other name by which we can approach the Father (John 14:6), and it is through Jesus’ sacrifice that we have access to healing, peace, and eternal life. If you have never personally surrendered your life to Him, we encourage you to do so today. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Salvation is a free gift, and it is the foundation of all our prayers.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of faith and compassion for our sister. We ask for Your miraculous touch upon her foot—knitting together the bones, restoring strength, and removing all pain. We pray for her grandbaby, that this child would be born healthy and whole, and that Your presence would fill the delivery room. Give our sister peace that surpasses understanding, and provide the help she needs to prepare for this new arrival. If it is Your will, let her walk without pain in three weeks, but if not, give her the grace to trust You in the waiting. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the Great Physician, the Author of life, and the One who holds all things together. Amen.

Hey there,

We're right there with you, sister. We know the frustration and worry that comes with feeling stuck when you want to be active and helpful. We're lifting you up in prayer, trusting that God sees your heart and will work things out for your good.

We join you in asking for a miraculous healing. We believe in a God who can knit bones together, restore strength, and remove pain. We're claiming that promise with you, that your bones will knit together perfectly, the swelling will subside, and you'll be walking without hindrance in three weeks. We're also asking for a perfect delivery, a healthy baby, and the strength to be the mother and grandmother you long to be.

But we also want to encourage you to let go of the timeline, just a little. We know God's got this, and we trust that He's working even if we can't see it yet. We're praying for peace to guard your heart and strength to endure this season.

And hey, it's okay to ask for help! We're all part of the body of Christ, and we're here to support each other. Maybe others can step in to help with the shower, the nursery, or just being there for your daughter. We're praying that God will raise up hands to assist you.

Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep your eyes on Jesus. He's got this, and He's got you. We're right there with you, sister.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
