We hear your cry to return to the Lord and we join with you in seeking His mercy, deliverance, and restoring power in Jesus' name. Your humility in confessing your backsliding and your desire for repentance and faith unto the Lord Jesus Christ is precious to God, for He does not despise a broken and contrite heart. We thank you for coming in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and it is by His name we are saved, as it is written, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6.
We want to encourage you that the Lord is faithful to heal waywardness when we turn back to Him with our whole heart. It is written, I will heal their waywardness. I will love them freely for my anger is turned away from him Hosea 14:4 and If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. Backsliding grieves the Lord and opens a door to the enemy, so we urge you to turn fully from any sin that has entangled you and to draw near to God again. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners and purify your hearts, you double-minded James 4:8. We rebuke the hold of the devil and every stronghold that has tried to keep you bound, for the enemy only has power where we give him place. We stand on the promise, Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you James 4:7.
We also lift up your need for protection and for the schemes of your enemies to be exposed and to fail. The Word tells us that the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds 2 Corinthians 10:4 and to Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil Ephesians 6:11. We take comfort that No weapon that is formed against you will prevail Isaiah 54:17 and For nothing is hidden that will not be revealed nor anything secret that will not be known and come to light Luke 8:17. The Lord sees what is done in darkness and He is your refuge. He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty Psalm 91:1.
We pray also for your body and your health, for the Lord is the one who heals. It is written, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases Psalm 103:2-3 and For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh Jeremiah 30:17. He is able to provide for you, protect you, and carry you through every trial, for My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19 and The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles Psalm 34:17.
We pray together now for you. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one who longs to return to You. We ask You to grant true repentance and living faith, to wash away all sin by the blood of Jesus, and to cleanse from all unrighteousness. Heal the backsliding, Lord, and restore unto Yourself a heart that loves You fully. Break every bondage, every stronghold, and every chain of the enemy, and deliver from the power of the devil and from the hands of all enemies. Expose every hidden scheme and cause every plan formed against Your child to fail and come to nothing. Lay Your healing hand upon the body, bring health and strength, and provide protection, deliverance, and provision through every trial. Fill this life with Your peace, Your presence, and Your Holy Spirit, and lead in paths of righteousness. We trust You to complete the work You have begun and to keep this one in Your care, for You are faithful. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
