Father, today I come before You, professing my absolute belief that there is power in prayer. I pray that You will be ever present in our mixed up, crazy lives - be like that welcoming voice on the other end of the phone that tells us someone is there, and listening.
God, I know You are in a personal relationship with each of us, just waiting for us to give everything over to You. I believe that many of us are there, Father - all in and ready for Your will to be done. Be our point of reference in the midst of all the confusion of our daily lives, the steadfast anchor we need rather than the incomplete, fragile inconsistency of ourselves. Give each of us the power and ability to be centered, anchored in faith and rooted in the Truth, truth which is stronger and deeper than the day-to-day truths we struggle with. Help our hearts and minds focus on Your eternal truths that never change, unlike the fickle truths of human knowledge and human nature. Constantly renew our perspective - let prayer open our eyes, extend our horizons, shed light into the darkness when fear and sorrow want to take over. Magnify our hope and joy, allow us to see our lives from Your perspective and see the work and costs of growing in spirit, mind, body and relationship.
Dear Father, I know the power of prayer is real and tangible - I feel it, I know it, I depend on it, and although it is a free gift, we need to do our part as well. May we always seek You first in prayer, and through our prayers, allow You to empower us and give us strength. Be in every moment of our lives and bring us to a clear vision of Your path and purpose for each of us. Give us positive mindsets in all circumstances and help us reach out and accept the blessings of Your hand. Accept this prayer as my way of touching and agreeing with my prayer family in seeking of Your wisdom, direction and mercy. Thank you for the blessings You bestow - we claim victory through Your sovereign authority -may Your name be glorified in all the earth. Praying in the name of Jesus with thankfulness and expectancy, Amen.
