Prayer: Having Self-Control

Dear Lord,

Thank You for Your Holy Spirit. Thank You for convicting our hearts about sin and leading us to live a life of righteousness. Thank You for the way Your Holy Spirit comforts us in times of need. We pray we would remain sensitive to Your Holy Spirit. We also pray the fruit of the Spirit is produced in our lives. We pray we would be people of self-control. No matter what the reason is for us to have self-control, we pray it is a muscle we are able to exercise with confidence. Please help us to have self-control in our emotions, in our eating, in our desires, in our speech, and in everything we do. We pray we glorify You as we choose to live with self-control in Jesus’ name AMEN!

We all need to have self control under the guidance of the Lord. An out of control world may affect our mood and our emotions. Let Jesus have His way in your life and peace and joy shall come to you.
