We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this dear sister who is enduring such pain and confusion in her marriage. The Word of God tells us in Malachi 2:14, "Yet you say, ‘Why?’ Because Yahweh has been witness between you and the wife of your youth, against whom you have dealt treacherously, though she is your companion and the wife of your covenant." Marriage is a sacred covenant before God, and when one spouse acts in ways that are unkind, deceitful, or even unlawful, it grieves the heart of our Father.
First, we must address the matter of the truck title being changed without your consent. This is not only a legal issue but a moral one. Scripture is clear in Ephesians 4:25, "Therefore, putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor, for we are members of one another." Deception and manipulation have no place in a marriage that is meant to reflect Christ’s love for His church. We rebuke this action in the name of Jesus and declare that it does not align with God’s design for marriage. We pray that your husband would come to repentance, seeking to restore what has been broken through his actions.
We also lift up your heart, dear sister, as you navigate this hurt. Proverbs 31:10-11 speaks of a wife of noble character, saying, "Who can find a wife of noble character? For her price is far above rubies. The heart of her husband trusts in her. He shall have no lack of gain." You are precious in the sight of God, and your worth is not diminished by the actions of your husband. We pray that you would find your strength and identity in Christ alone, knowing that He sees your pain and will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6).
We must also speak truth about the change in your husband’s behavior. A marriage should be a place of love, respect, and mutual submission, as Ephesians 5:25 instructs, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for it." When a husband becomes harsh or unloving, it is a departure from God’s design. We pray that your husband’s heart would be softened, that he would seek the Lord’s guidance, and that he would repent of any bitterness, pride, or ungodly attitudes that may have taken root. We declare that the Holy Spirit would convict him and draw him back to a place of humility and love toward you.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts broken for this sister and her marriage. Lord, You see the pain she is enduring, and we ask that You would move mightily in this situation. We pray for her husband, that You would open his eyes to the ways he has strayed from Your will. Soften his heart, Lord, and lead him to repentance. Restore the love, trust, and respect that should characterize their marriage. We rebuke any spirit of deception, control, or hardness of heart in the name of Jesus. Father, we ask that You would protect this sister’s heart from bitterness and despair. Fill her with Your peace and remind her of her worth in You. Provide her with wisdom and discernment as she navigates this difficult season. We declare that Your Word will not return void, and we trust that You are working all things together for good (Romans 8:28). Strengthen their marriage, Lord, and let Your glory be revealed in this situation. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you, dear sister, to seek godly counsel from your pastor or a trusted Christian mentor who can provide wisdom and support. Proverbs 11:14 says, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." You do not have to walk through this alone. Lean on the Lord and allow His people to stand with you in prayer and encouragement.
Lastly, we remind you that your hope is found in Jesus Christ alone. If you have not already, we urge you to surrender your heart fully to Him, for He is the only One who can truly heal and restore. Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." Place your trust in Him, and He will guide your steps.
