We lift up this heartfelt request to our Heavenly Father, who hears the cries of His children and moves mightily on their behalf. First, we stand in agreement for healing in every area of life—spirit, soul, and body. The Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, *"For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says the Lord.* We pray that the Great Physician would touch every affliction, every pain, and every burden with His healing hand. May His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
For financial blessing, we ask that the Lord open the windows of heaven and pour out provision according to His riches in glory. Philippians 4:19 reminds us, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* We pray for wisdom in stewardship, opportunities for honest labor, and the breaking of any generational curses or strongholds that may hinder abundance. May God’s favor rest upon financial decisions, and may He be glorified in every blessing received.
We also lift up those who are incarcerated, including the twin son mentioned here, and pray for justice, mercy, and transformation. The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). We rebuke any spirit of despair or hopelessness and declare that no one is beyond the reach of God’s grace. We pray for laws to be passed that reflect His heart for redemption and restoration, offering second chances to those who seek Him. Ezekiel 18:23 tells us, *"Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked?" says the Lord God; "and not rather that he should return from his way, and live?"* May those behind bars encounter the love of Christ, turn from sin, and walk in newness of life.
We must also gently address the mention of giving lives to the Lord. While this sentiment is commendable, true salvation comes not by our own efforts or declarations but by faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. Romans 10:9-10 states, *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."* If this son or any other has not yet placed their trust in Jesus alone for salvation, we pray they would do so without delay. Only through Christ can anyone be made new and receive eternal life.
Father, we ask that this year indeed be a year of breakthrough, favor, and second chances. Let Your will be done in every situation, and may Your name be glorified. We pray for families separated by incarceration, that they would be strengthened, encouraged, and reunited according to Your perfect timing. We declare that chains are broken, hearts are mended, and lives are restored in the mighty name of Jesus. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Amen.
