We lift up your dear friend before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to surround her with His peace that surpasses all understanding. The pain she carries is deep, and the wounds inflicted by those she loves cut to the very core of her heart. Yet we know that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Father, we ask that You would bind up her wounds and heal the places where she feels shattered. Remind her that even in this season of grief and loss, You are working all things together for her good, for she is called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
The hurt caused by her mother and sister is profound, especially the cruel accusation that she is faking her heart failure symptoms. Such words are not only untrue but deeply damaging, and we rebuke the spirit of deception and division that has taken root in her family. Lord, we ask that You would expose the lies and bring truth to light. Help her to see herself through Your eyes—as a beloved daughter, a survivor, and a woman of strength who has endured far more than many could bear. We pray that she would find her identity in You alone, not in the opinions or words of others (Galatians 2:20).
Forgiveness is a difficult path, especially when the pain is fresh and the wounds are deep. Yet we know that harboring bitterness only poisons the soul. Your Word tells us to forgive as we have been forgiven (Colossians 3:13), and we ask that You would soften her heart to release this burden to You. This does not mean she must reconcile with those who have hurt her, especially if they remain unrepentant, but it does mean surrendering the right to hold onto anger and resentment. Give her the strength to set healthy boundaries while still entrusting her family to Your justice and mercy.
We also lift up her health, both physical and emotional. The weight of chronic illness and the emotional toll of family strife can feel overwhelming, but we declare that she is not defeated. You are the God who heals, and we ask for Your restoration to flow over her body, mind, and spirit. Strengthen her when she feels weak, and remind her that Your grace is sufficient for her, for Your power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). We pray that her therapy would be fruitful, bringing clarity, healing, and renewed hope.
Father, we ask that You would fill her with courage to walk in the vision You have for her life. Even in the midst of this pain, You have a purpose for her—a future filled with hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Help her to press forward, not in her own strength, but in the power of Your Spirit. Surround her with godly community, friends who will speak life into her, and mentors who can guide her with wisdom. May she find comfort in Your presence, knowing that You collect every tear and hear every cry of her heart (Psalm 56:8).
We also pray for her mother and sister. Lord, we ask that You would break the hardness of their hearts and open their eyes to the pain they have caused. Bring conviction where there is sin, repentance where there is pride, and healing where there is brokenness. If it is Your will, restore these relationships, but if not, give her the peace to accept Your plan for her life.
Above all, we pray that she would draw closer to You in this season. May she find her refuge in You alone, and may Your love be the balm that soothes her soul. Strengthen her faith, deepen her trust in You, and fill her with Your joy, even in the midst of sorrow. We declare that she is more than a conqueror through Christ who loves her (Romans 8:37), and we stand with her in prayer, believing that You will complete the good work You have begun in her (Philippians 1:6).
In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
