We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, standing firm in the authority of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Your request reveals a spiritual battle that is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). We take up the full armor of God, that we may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand (Ephesians 6:13).
First, we must address the name by which you pray. While you mention "Jesus’ name," we want to emphasize the power and exclusivity of the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). It is only through faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who died for our sins and was raised to life, that we have access to the Father. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, so that you may be saved (Romans 10:9). We command every spirit of distraction, delay, torment, and confusion to flee from you right now in Jesus’ name. We declare that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against you in judgment, you shall condemn (Isaiah 54:17).
We pray that the Lord would break every chain of witchcraft, every curse, and every generational stronghold that has been set against you. The blood of Jesus has redeemed you from the curse of the law, and Christ has become a curse for us (Galatians 3:13). We plead the blood of Jesus over your life, your mind, your home, and your destiny. Let the power of the cross and the resurrection of Christ be your shield and defense.
Heavenly Father, we ask that You would accelerate Your purposes for this dear one. Remove every obstacle and hindrance that the enemy has placed in their path. Give them laser-like focus, clarity of mind, and unwavering determination to pursue the goals and dreams You have placed in their heart. Let Your Spirit guide them into all truth and lead them in the paths of righteousness for Your name’s sake (Psalm 23:3). We declare that the plans You have for them are plans for good and not for evil, to give them a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11).
Father, we ask that You would surround them with godly counsel, mentors, and friends who will speak life, encouragement, and wisdom into their situation. Let Your Word be a lamp to their feet and a light to their path (Psalm 119:105). Strengthen their faith to trust in You with all their heart and lean not on their own understanding. In all their ways, let them acknowledge You, and You will direct their paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).
We also pray for their spiritual growth and maturity. Equip them with the full armor of God so that they may stand firm against the schemes of the devil. Let them be rooted and grounded in Your love, knowing that greater is He who is in them than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in power, love, and a sound mind.
Lord, we ask that You would expose and dismantle every hidden work of darkness in their life. Bring to light anything that is not of You, so that it may be dealt with and removed.
