We lift up this heartfelt request with deep compassion, standing in the gap for your son and his need for healing and restoration. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach Your throne of grace. We declare that Your Word is true, and we trust in Your promises, for You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
Lord, we ask that You would move mightily in this situation. We pray that the doors to the treatment center would open wide for this young man, according to Your perfect will. You see the depths of his struggle, and we know that nothing is impossible for You (Luke 1:37). We ask that You soften the hearts of those in authority, that they would see the need for intervention and grant him the help he so desperately requires. May this be a turning point in his life, where he encounters Your love, mercy, and transformative power.
We rebuke every spirit of addiction, despair, and bondage that has taken hold of him. In the name of Jesus, we command these chains to be broken, for it is written that whom the Son sets free is free indeed (John 8:36). Lord, surround him with Your angels, as You have promised in Your Word (Psalm 91:11), and keep him safe from harm, both physically and spiritually. Protect his mind and heart from the lies of the enemy, and let Your truth take root in his soul.
Father, we also pray for wisdom and discernment for those who will be involved in his care. May they be guided by Your Holy Spirit to provide the support and counsel he needs to walk in freedom. We ask that You would restore his relationships, especially with his family, and mend any brokenness caused by his struggles. Let him experience the fullness of Your grace and the hope that comes from knowing You.
We encourage you, dear one, to hold fast to faith in this season. The enemy may whisper lies of hopelessness, but we declare that God is working even now. Jeremiah 29:11 reminds us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future." Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). Continue to pray without ceasing, for the prayer of the righteous avails much (James 5:16).
Heavenly Father, we also lift up this mother’s heart to You. The pain of watching a child struggle is profound, and we ask that You would comfort her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Strengthen her faith and remind her that You are a God who hears and answers prayer. Let her find rest in Your promises and hope in Your unfailing love.
Lord, we know that salvation is found in no one else but Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12). If this young man has not yet surrendered his life to You, we pray that this season of struggle would become a season of surrender. Draw him to Yourself, Lord, and let him experience the new life that comes from knowing You. May he turn away from the paths that have led him astray and walk in the light of Your truth.
We stand together in agreement, believing that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20). We trust in Your timing and Your perfect plan for this young man’s life. May Your will be done, and may Your name be glorified in all things.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
