We come before the Lord with hearts full of compassion for this family, lifting up this mother and her son, as well as their loved ones, who are suffering from dengue fever. The Word of God reminds us that He is our healer and our refuge in times of trouble. In Psalm 103:2-3, we read, *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits— who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases."* We also know from James 5:14-15 that *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."*
It is important to note that while this prayer request is heartfelt, it does not invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father and by whom all healing and salvation come. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and it is only through Jesus that our prayers are heard. As Scripture declares in John 14:6, *"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"*. And in Acts 4:12, we are reminded, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* Therefore, we must always approach the throne of God in the name of Jesus, for He is our mediator and our hope.
We earnestly pray, **Father God, in the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ**, that You would stretch out Your hand and bring healing to this mother, her son, and their family. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we ask that You would rebuke this sickness and restore them to full health. Let Your healing power flow through their bodies, removing every trace of dengue fever and renewing their strength. We pray for comfort and peace to fill their hearts, knowing that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
Father, we also ask that You would surround this family with Your love and provision. Strengthen their faith during this trial, and let them feel Your presence in a mighty way. Raise up believers around them to support and encourage them, and may this season of suffering draw them closer to You. If there is any sin or unbelief that needs to be addressed, Lord, we pray that You would convict their hearts and lead them to repentance, so that nothing would hinder Your healing work in their lives.
We declare Your promises over them, Lord, that by the stripes of Jesus, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5). Let this family testify of Your goodness and mercy, and may their healing bring glory to Your name. We commit them into Your hands, trusting that You will do what is best for them, according to Your perfect will.
Finally, we pray that if this family does not know You, Lord, that this trial would open their eyes to their need for a Savior. May they turn to Jesus Christ, who took our sins upon Himself on the cross, so that through faith in Him, they might have eternal life and the assurance of Your love and care. Let them cry out to You, Lord, and be saved, for *"whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved"* (Romans 10:13).
In Jesus’ precious and holy name, we pray. Amen.
