Jill’s heart

Disciple of Prayer
Dear Jesus I pray for my ### to have an open mind enough to go to detox and then straight to recovery. Show him the braveness he has through you God. Make it his hearts desire to be relentless and persevere so he can see the other side of how his life can be. Lay your super natural strength over him. In Jesus name, amen

We join you in lifting up this precious soul to our Heavenly Father, who alone can break the chains of addiction and set the captive free. Your heart’s cry for him is a beautiful reflection of God’s own love—He does not desire that any should perish but that all would come to repentance and wholeness in Christ. We stand with you in agreement, knowing that our God is mighty to save and transform even the most broken of lives.

The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Addiction is a bondage that distorts God’s design for our bodies, which are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Yet, the Scriptures declare that *nothing* is impossible with God (Luke 1:37). He is the God who parts seas, raises the dead, and renews minds—so we trust Him to do a miraculous work in your loved one’s heart and life.

We pray that the Lord would open his eyes to see the destruction of his current path and turn his heart toward the hope found only in Christ. May the Holy Spirit convict him deeply of his need for surrender—not just to a program, but to the Savior who died to set him free. Let him taste the bitterness of sin so that he might hunger for the sweetness of redemption. As it is written, *"No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it"* (1 Corinthians 10:13). Lord, make that "way of escape" undeniable to him.

We ask for divine intervention—supernatural strength to overcome withdrawal, courage to walk into detox, and perseverance to complete recovery. But more than that, we pray for a *heart transformation*. Let him encounter the love of Christ so powerfully that he cannot return to his old ways. *"Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new"* (2 Corinthians 5:17). Father, let this be his testimony.

We also pray for you, dear saint, who are interceding for him. May you be filled with the peace that surpasses understanding, knowing that your labor in prayer is not in vain (Philippians 4:6-7). Do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season you *will* reap a harvest if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). Cling to the promise that *"the effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person is powerfully effective"* (James 5:16).

Lastly, we urge you to continue covering him in the *authority of Jesus’ name*—the name above every name, at which every knee must bow (Philippians 2:10). There is no stronger foundation for prayer. If he has not yet surrendered his life to Christ, pray that this trial would lead him to the foot of the cross. Remind him that true freedom is not found in sobriety alone, but in the blood of Jesus, which cleanses from *all* sin (1 John 1:7).

**Our Prayer:**
Heavenly Father, we come before You with broken yet hopeful hearts, lifting up this man who is bound by addiction. Lord, You see his struggles, his pain, and the lies he has believed. We ask that You shatter the deception of the enemy and flood his soul with Your truth. Give him an *unshakable* desire for freedom—a freedom that can only be found in You.

By Your Spirit, compel him to take the first step into detox, and then sustain him through every moment of recovery. Surround him with godly counsel, believers who will speak life into him, and a community that will hold him accountable. Let him experience Your presence so tangibly that he knows *You* are his strength, not his own willpower.

We rebuke the spirit of addiction in Jesus’ name and declare that *no weapon formed against him shall prosper* (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, restore what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25). Redeem his story for Your glory.

And Father, if he does not know You as his Savior, we pray this trial would drive him to his knees. Let him cry out to You, as the prodigal son did, and run into Your waiting arms (Luke 15:11-32). Soften his heart to receive Your forgiveness and grace.

We trust You, Lord. Not our plans, not our timing, but *You*. May Your will be done in his life, for Your glory. In the mighty and matchless name of **Jesus Christ**, we pray. Amen.

We're standing with you, sister, as you intercede for your loved one. We've been where you are, and we know the weight of worry and the power of persistent prayer. Let's cling to these promises together:

"For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you." - Isaiah 41:13

"Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know." - Jeremiah 33:3

Let's ask God to reveal His truth to your loved one, to open his eyes to the destruction of his current path, and to turn his heart towards the hope found only in Christ. Let's pray for divine intervention - supernatural strength, courage, and perseverance. But more than anything, let's cry out for a heart transformation, that he might encounter the love of Christ so powerfully that he can't return to his old ways.

And remember, dear one, God is faithful. He sees your tears, hears your cries, and is working in ways we can't yet see. Trust in His love, His plan, and His perfect timing. Keep praying, keep believing, and keep loving. You are not alone. We're in this together, and our God is mighty to save.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We want to thank you for allowing us the sacred honor of lifting your loved one before the Lord with you these past few days. Our hearts remain united with yours in praying for his complete surrender to God’s transforming power—body, mind, and spirit. We know how deeply you ache for his freedom, and we continue to stand in faith that the Lord is breaking through the strongholds of addiction, replacing fear with divine courage and hesitation with holy resolve.

If your beloved has taken even the smallest step toward detox or recovery, we would love to rejoice with you in a praise report—every victory, no matter how small, is a testament to God’s faithfulness. And if the battle still rages, do not lose heart. We are here to keep interceding, to keep declaring Isaiah 41:10 over him: *"Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."* Post again, and let us press in together, trusting that the Lord who began this good work will bring it to completion (Philippians 1:6).

May you feel the Father’s comfort in this waiting season, knowing that He collects every tear and hears every cry. We are believing with you for a breakthrough that will leave no doubt of His power. Keep holding fast to hope—He is able. We pray this in Jesus’ name.

Thank you so much! Needed this. He is on the list at a few different detox facilities, just waiting on the call. I just pray that whatever facility he ends up at, I pray he receives good quality care and that he is uplifted and empowered. Pray that I choose the best recovery facility for him after detox. I know that some are great and I just pray the one he goes to is where God knows he needs to be. Whether it be state funded or one that works with cash paying individuals and is not out of my range financially. Just let the place be of God and Godly people. In Jesus name I pray, amen
