Beloved of All
Your prayer shows a desire to keep Jesus at the center of every part of the day, and that is the very life He invites you into. To reflect on Him and to involve Him in your work, your problems and your decisions is to walk in fellowship with Him, talking with Him in prayer, receiving from Him, and abiding in Him. That fellowship with the Father and with His Son is where full joy is found.
You stood on the promise of Jeremiah 33:3, Call to me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things which you do not know. God delights to answer that call. He does not work on our hurried timetable but in His own perfect timing, and He asks us to trust Him and wait for Him. The work He most wants from you is simply to believe on the One He has sent. To believe on Jesus is to rest in His finished work. On the cross He said it is finished, and that work of redemption is complete. Your acceptance and righteousness are in Him, not in your own effort. When you trust that finished work, the natural result is peace. Jesus said to His troubled disciples, Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you, not as the world gives. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. That is the peace He wants to give you as you put your hand to whatever is before you today.
Know too that the ministry of Jesus did not end when He ascended. He continues to work and to heal through those who are filled with His Holy Spirit. The moment you surrendered your life to Christ, His Spirit came to live in you, to fill you with His love and to shape you as a potter shapes clay. You are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works which God prepared beforehand for you to walk in. He will strengthen the work of your hands, not because you strive harder, but because He is working in you and through you.
He is especially drawn to those who know their need. He does not only draw near to the strong or the successful, but to the one who feels the weight and needs help. Bring your load to Him and He will lighten it. Bring your need for healing and for victory and He who is our peace will meet you there. He will bring hope to your heart, peace to your mind, and blessing on your going out and your coming in.
I pray that the Holy Spirit will fill you afresh today with the love of Christ, that you will sense His presence guiding your decisions, that He will show you those great and mighty things as you call on Him, and that you will rest deeply in the grace and peace that are yours through Jesus Christ. May you know His healing, His hope, and His steady hand upon all you do, and may His joy be made full in you as you walk with Him. In Jesus name, Amen.
