Prayer for work and discernment for ### šŸ™šŸ™šŸ™

Heavenly Father,

I come to You with a heavy heart, but I choose to trust You. You see everything that is happening in my workplace and their being two-faced—the spoken words, the hidden intentions especially of ###, ###, and ###, and the things I do not fully understand.

Lord, I lift up my department head to You. Grant her discernment and wisdom from above. Open her eyes and her heart to see the truth clearly—not through influence or persuasion, but through Your light and truth.

If there are intentions that are not aligned with fairness, humility, or service, I ask You, Lord, to gently but firmly reveal them. Let truth rise, manipulation, her being two-faced and deception fall away without me having to defend myself.

I place my position, my work, and my role into Your hands. You know my heart, my intentions, and my desire to serve with integrity. Protect me from being unjustly excluded, overlooked, or removed.

Lord, I also pray for my relationship with my department head. Restore trust, strengthen understanding, and allow mutual respect to grow. Let our working relationship be guided by peace, clarity, and fairness. May she realize what ### are doing when she is not around. Let the intention of ###, ###, and ### to disconnect me from the ###, wants me to be excluded be revealed. Please reveal to ### the truth to her heart and mind.

Guard my heart from resentment, pride, and fear. Help me respond with humility, patience, and wisdom, knowing that You are my defender.

I surrender this situation to You, Lord. I trust that You will fight the battles I cannot fight and establish what is right in Your perfect time.

In Jesus’ name, Amen. šŸ™

We join with you in lifting this heavy burden to the Lord, standing on His promises and seeking His justice, wisdom, and peace in your workplace. First, we must address the omission in your prayer—while you closed in Jesus’ name, we want to emphasize the absolute necessity of coming to God *through* Jesus Christ alone. There is no other mediator between God and man, and no other name by which we can be saved (1 Timothy 2:5, Acts 4:12). It is only by the blood of Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is His righteousness that covers us when we approach God in prayer.

Now, let us stand together on God’s Word as we address the deception and two-faced behavior you’ve described. The Bible warns us clearly about those who speak with flattering lips but harbor deceit in their hearts. Psalm 12:2-3 says, *"They speak falsehood every one with his neighbor. With flattering lips, and with a double heart, do they speak. May the Lord cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that boasts."* We rebuke every hidden agenda, every whispered manipulation, and every scheme designed to undermine you. The Lord sees all, and He will not be mocked. Proverbs 16:7 tells us, *"When a man’s ways please the Lord, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him."* If your heart is aligned with God’s will, He *will* make a way for justice and peace—even when others seek to harm you.

We also lift up your department head, praying that the Holy Spirit would convict her of any unrighteousness and open her eyes to the truth. Proverbs 21:1 declares, *"The king’s heart is in the Lord’s hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires."* If she is being influenced by deceitful people, we ask God to turn her heart toward truth and righteousness. We pray that she would see the intentions of those around her clearly, not through the lens of favoritism or flattery, but through the discernment that comes from the Holy Spirit. James 3:17 reminds us that *"the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy."*

We must also guard your heart, as you’ve asked. Resentment, fear, and pride are tools the enemy uses to distract and discourage believers. Instead, we encourage you to walk in humility and trust, knowing that God is your ultimate defender. Romans 12:19-21 instructs us, *"Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, ā€˜Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.’ Therefore, if your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head. Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."* This is not a call to passivity, but to active trust in God’s justice. Your responsibility is to continue walking in integrity, and God will handle the rest.

We also want to gently address the language of exclusion and division in your prayer. While it is right to ask God to reveal hidden motives, we must be careful not to harbor bitterness or a spirit of retaliation. Instead, we pray that God would use this situation to refine you, to teach you patience, and to deepen your reliance on Him. 1 Peter 5:6-7 says, *"Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time; casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you."* You are not alone in this battle, and God is working even when you cannot see it.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can approach Your throne. Lord, You see the hidden things, the whispers in the dark, and the hearts of those who seek to undermine Your child. We ask You to expose every lie, every scheme, and every hidden agenda in this workplace. Let Your light shine into the darkness, and let truth prevail.

Father, we lift up this department head to You. Give her discernment that comes from above, that she may see clearly and act justly. Soften her heart to receive Your wisdom, and remove any scales from her eyes that keep her from recognizing the truth. If there are those around her who seek to manipulate or deceive, we ask that You would reveal their motives and frustrate their plans.

Lord, we place this workplace, this position, and this situation into Your hands. You know the desires of this heart—to serve with integrity, to honor You in all things, and to walk in peace. Protect Your child from unjust exclusion or harm. Let no weapon formed against them prosper, and let every tongue that rises against them in judgment be condemned (Isaiah 54:17).

Guard this heart, Lord. Keep it from resentment, fear, and pride. Fill it instead with Your peace, Your patience, and Your wisdom. Help Your child to respond with grace, even when others do not deserve it, knowing that You are their defender. Teach them to cast every care upon You, for You care deeply for them.

We trust You, Father, to fight the battles that cannot be fought with human hands. We trust You to establish justice in Your perfect timing. We surrender this situation to You, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, lifting this concern to the Lord. We've been praying for discernment and wisdom in your workplace, and we want to encourage you with a few things.

First, remember that God sees everything. He knows the intentions of the heart (1 Samuel 16:7), and He's not surprised by any of the situations you're facing. Trust that He's got this, and He's working things out according to His perfect plan.

We also want to remind you to keep your heart pure. It's easy to feel frustrated or resentful when we feel wronged, but God calls us to love our enemies and pray for those who persecute us (Matthew 5:44). Let's ask God to help us respond with kindness, humility, and patience, even when others don't deserve it.

Lastly, let's claim God's promise in Psalm 37:7, "Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; fret not yourself over the man who prospers in his way, over the man who carries out evil devices!" Trust that God will make things right in His perfect timing.

Let's keep praying together, trusting that God will work everything out for our good and His glory.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
