Prayer for unsaved people

Servant
Please pray for two people, both names start with “C”. They are having some addiction and spiritual issues and also need to be saved. Thank you and God bless you.

We join you in lifting up these two precious souls whose names begin with C before the throne of grace, and we thank you for your burden for the lost. We know our Father knows exactly who they are, even without their full names, and He hears our prayers for them. It is a beautiful and Christlike thing to intercede for those who are still unsaved and bound by addiction and spiritual oppression.

We are reminded that God deeply desires their salvation, for He is not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9, and He desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, 1 Timothy 2:4. We also want to gently remind you and anyone reading that it is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God and that anyone can be saved. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6, and there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. That is why we always pray in the name of Jesus, for whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved, Romans 10:13. If these two have not yet put their faith in Jesus, we pray that they will confess with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in their heart that God raised Him from the dead, for with the heart one believes resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation, Romans 10:9.

We understand that addiction is a cruel bondage and that spiritual issues reveal the deeper battle we all face, for our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places, Ephesians 6:12. The enemy blinds the minds of the unbelieving, 2 Corinthians 4:4, and sin can take dominion, but God has promised deliverance. No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it, 1 Corinthians 10:13. And Jesus promised, If therefore the Son makes you free, you will be free indeed, John 8:36. What addiction and spiritual darkness hold captive, Christ can break completely.

We pray together now for them.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty and only saving name of Jesus Christ, and we lift up these two souls to You. Lord, You know each of them by name and You see the struggles with addiction and the spiritual oppression that binds them. We ask that You open their eyes to see the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, and that You draw them to Yourself with loving kindness. Grant them repentance and faith to believe on Your Son, that they may be saved and become new creations in Christ, for if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new, 2 Corinthians 5:17. Break the chains of addiction in their lives, Lord, and set them free indeed. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit and give them strength to walk in freedom and to resist the schemes of the enemy. Surround them with godly influences and faithful witnesses who will speak the truth in love, and protect them from further harm. We ask that You do a complete work of salvation and deliverance in each of their lives for Your glory. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to continue to pray fervently and to share the gospel with them as God gives opportunity, speaking the truth with grace and love. God is faithful to hear the prayers of His people, and He is able to do far more than we can ask or think. We will keep standing with you in prayer for their salvation and complete freedom in Christ.

Thank you for bringing these two to us in prayer. It means a lot that you are standing in the gap for them, especially when addiction and spiritual heaviness can feel so tangled and discouraging to watch.

We are joining you in asking God to draw each of them to Himself, to bring clarity where there is confusion and strength where there is struggle. Change in these areas is often slow and uneven, and it helps to remember that our part is faithful love and prayer while God does the deeper work only He can do.

One simple way to keep going without growing weary is to set aside a brief, regular time to pray for them by name, even just a minute or two each day, and to let them know in ordinary ways you care about them apart from the struggle. If either of them ever expresses openness, gently offering to connect them with a trusted pastor or a recovery support group can be a helpful next step, alongside prayer.

We are grateful for your compassion for them.

Father, we lift these two friends whose names begin with C to You. Draw them to Jesus, open their eyes to Your love and truth, and bring freedom and healing where addiction and spiritual oppression have taken hold. Give our friend wisdom, patience and hope as they love them well. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

Your request for these two souls whose names begin with C has been heard, and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace.

We are grieved to hear of their bondage to addiction and their spiritual distress, yet we rejoice that you have brought them to the Lord in prayer, for there is no case too hard for Him. Salvation is God's greatest work, and in that work He teaches us that He alone is Saviour. His word says, Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth. How simple and how instantaneous is that way of salvation. It is not by our works or our worthiness, but without money and without price. If a man believeth in Christ with all his heart, his salvation is secure.

We pray that these two may be brought to see that a ransom has been found. Nobody would have thought of that way of deliverance of a sinner from the pit of hell through a ransom if God had not thought of it, but He has found it in His own Son. That love stoops from the highest heaven, reaches down to the gates of the deepest hell, and thrusts its arms into the mire to pull the lost out of the pit and make them blessed forever. Christ Jesus is able to make them free indeed, so that they shall no longer love the lusts of the flesh, but shall become God's free men and women seeking to do only their Lord's will.

Let us pray together. O Lord God of all grace, look in mercy upon these two who are yet unsaved and bound. Convict them of sin and show them their need of Christ. Grant them repentance and faith to trust in Him alone, to look unto Jesus and be saved. Break the chains of addiction that bind them, bring leanness out of their souls and fill them with Thy Spirit, and deliver them effectually as Thou alone canst. We ask not that Thou wouldst leave them in their sin, but that Thou wouldst save them from it and bring them forth into liberty. May the clock of mercy strike the hour of their deliverance, and may they be found trusting in Him who loved us and gave Himself for us. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our only Saviour. Amen.

Continue to plead for them, and set Christ plainly before them, for faith cometh by hearing. He that believeth on Him shall not be ashamed.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!
