We join with you in this powerful and compassionate prayer and we say amen to every word you have lifted up before the Lord for those who are hurting and in need of emotional healing.

Your heart reflects the heart of God who is close to the brokenhearted and who heals those who have been wounded by mistreatment, abuse and oppression. We are reminded that He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3 and that Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit Psalm 34:18. We agree with you that the Lord came to heal the brokenhearted and to set the captives free Isaiah 61:1.

We stand together against the schemes of the enemy and pray for complete restoration at the soul level. We ask the Father to renew the mind of each person reading this, for we know we are transformed by the renewing of our minds so that we may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God Romans 12:2. For though we walk in the flesh, we don’t wage war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ 2 Corinthians 10:4-5. We pray that every stronghold, every projection, every witchcraft inspired thought and every assignment of shame, worry and stagnation be torn down in Jesus name, and that every mind be brought into the peace and obedience of Christ.

We agree with you for youth renewed and strength restored, for those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength, they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run, and not be weary, they will walk, and not faint Isaiah 40:31. We ask the Lord to restore what the enemy has stolen, for He has promised I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten Joel 2:25. We pray for fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit, for discernment to recognize wolves in sheep's clothing, for as Jesus warned, beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves Matthew 7:15, and for wisdom to separate from wrong connections, for we know bad company corrupts good morals 1 Corinthians 15:33 and we are not to be unequally yoked with unbelief 2 Corinthians 6:14.

We also pray that the Lord will surround each wounded heart with godly company who will value, honor and respect them, and take them out of harm's way and deliver them from every snare of the enemy. We pray they will not give in to deception or to any pressure to go against the will of God, but will submit themselves to God, resist the devil and he will flee from them James 4:7, and experience the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guarding their hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7.

We now pray together, Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we thank You that it is only through Him that we have access to Your throne of grace. We lift up every person reading this who carries wounds from mistreatment and abuse. Touch them deeply, Lord, heal their hearts and reverse every plan of the enemy over their lives. Cancel every scheme, plot and expectation formed against them by the superior blood of Jesus. Breathe a fresh pouring of Your Holy Spirit upon them, refresh and renew their minds in Christ, deliver them from every stronghold and take them out of harm's way. Give them greater discernment, surround them with godly friends and counsel, and cause them to move forward into all that You have for them without missing any blessing You have prepared. We rebuke every power keeping them stuck, every spirit of worry, shame and stagnation, and we decree freedom and forward movement in Jesus name. Deal justly with the unrepentant oppressors according to Your righteousness, and make Your people whole at the soul level. We apply the blood of Jesus over each reader and over this prayer, and we thank You for answered prayer, for healing, for restoration and for wholeness. We trust You to complete the good work You have begun, for we know that to those who love God all things work together for good Romans 8:28. In Jesus mighty name we pray, amen.

We were so encouraged to read your prayer for others who are carrying deep heart wounds. Thank you for standing in the gap with such compassion for those who have known mistreatment, oppression and abuse, and for asking God to bring renewal and protection.

We join you in that. We know emotional wounds can linger long after the hurt has happened, and the sense of being stuck, shamed, or on edge does not lift overnight. Healing often comes gradually as people are surrounded by safe, steady relationships where they are honored and respected, and where they can learn again what is healthy and true. Your prayer for discernment and for good company is so important.

For anyone reading this who recognizes themselves in these words, we would gently encourage you not to carry this alone. If worry, shame, or past harm is weighing heavily, consider sharing with one trusted, safe person, a pastor or a counselor who can walk with you and help you take next steps at your own pace. Staying connected can make it harder for isolation and confusion to take hold.

Father, we lift up each person who needs heart healing today. You see where there has been harm and injustice. Bring Your comfort and renew their minds and strength. Guard them from harm and from connections that would pull them from Your will, and surround them with people who will value and respect them. Lead them forward step by step into the good You have for them. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

[Spurgeon]

Your prayer has been brought before the Lord with sincere sympathy and we join our hearts with yours at the throne of grace. He who hears the cry of the afflicted is not deaf to such petitions, for He knows the bruising of the flesh and the oppression of the spirit, and He marks every wound that sin and cruelty have left upon the soul.

We are reminded that the Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble, and they that know His name shall put their trust in Him. When the soul is hunted and sore pressed, He is not a temporary camp but a mountain fastness that stands from generation to generation. There your heart may shelter from the marauder and find rest. And in Christ there is abundant healing power, for not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but even the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. The least thing about Christ is healing. The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, and where pardon and healing meet, the soul is made whole.

We pray with you that the Lord Jesus Christ, who alone is our ransom and our deliverance from the pit, would work this healing in you and in all who read this prayer in like distress. May He who found a ransom and bore the penalty for His people deliver you from every snare, break every stronghold that would keep the mind bound, and lift the weight of worry and shame that hinders forward steps. May He renew your youth and refresh and renew your mind, that you may have discernment to know the voice of the Shepherd from the voice of wolves in sheep's clothing, and grace to be separated from every wrong connection that would draw you from the will of God.

We ask the Lord to surround you with company that will value Him and honour and respect you, to keep you from harm and to make your deliverance effectual by His own hand and outstretched arm. When the enemy has plotted harm or cast projections upon the mind, may the Lord cancel those schemes by the superior blood of the Lamb that was slain, for deliverance came when the Lamb was slain and the price was paid. May He reverse what oppression has wrought and make you well at soul level, changing the life blood and making the nature new.

Take comfort, and declare with the psalmist, I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord. For the Lord has chastened sorely, yet He shows mercy, and He often whispers to His children in trial that they shall not be crushed. If you have known deep tribulation, you shall have deeper cause to sing of greater salvation. Look to Christ alone for pardon and healing, trust in His finished work, and rest in His stronghold till the day of trouble be past. May the Lord bless you and keep you, and give you grace to move forward in the things He has prepared for you, to the praise of His free grace. Amen.
