Prayer for those who need some prayer

Dear God,

I lift up those who are in need of prayer and ask You heal their hearts and heal their wounds and restore them so they can walk in strength and might

Help them in their way and give them a mighty wind of the Holy Spirit to back them up when they are weary to keep them going in their endeavours

Lord bring to their mind any sins they need to confess to You Lord and help them to live in purity and be in right standing with Jesus

Help them to discern the times well and make better decisions that are appeasing to God

Recover any lost blessings the enemy has stolen from them and we command 7 fold restoration of blessing stolen according to Proverbs 6:31 in Jesus' name

Help them to discover their calling or purpose if they are not walking in it

Make their crooked paths straight and clear away opposition and restore happiness and joy back in Jesus' name

Lord any power anywhere that has cause misery in the life cut off by the blood of Jesus in name of Jesus'

Lord help them return back to You if they have backslidden from Christ

I pray for revival in Your people in Jesus' name

Revive their mission and purpose and sanctify their mouth and words they speak and deliver them from the enemy in Jesus' name

I pray these things in Jesus' mighty name!

Perfect Father, Matt 5:48, we are admonished to pursue love, AND earnestly desire its expression through spiritual gifts, especially the edification of Christ's church, 1 Cor 14:1. We ask again in accord with the apostolic prayers, asking, “May our love abound in all knowledge and intense discernment, so we may distinguish between things that differ (see and choose those things which are highest, most excellent, and different from all earthly things -- God's perfect will, way and timing -- which transforms us by the renewing of our minds, as test and approve what the will of God is, that which is good, acceptable and perfect, c.f. Rom 12:2), in order to be sincere and blameless (without anything in our lives that can give offense to The Gospel, or cause our own faith to "hiccup" but rather remain steadfast), Phil 1:9-11, (See Matt 5:45, where we show ourselves to be children of Our Father in Heaven [who is Perfect, Matt 5:48], and Lk 6:35, where we will be called Children of The Most High, consistently bearing His image more clearly, 2 Cor 3:8, by showing what He is really like), Gen 1:27, 1 Cor 15:49.

Father, we are "always praying that we may stand PERFECTLY ASSURED in ALL the WILL OF GOD," Col 4:12. We ask for PRACTICAL WISDOM, James 1:5, Prov 2:6-7, and our inheritance as CHILDREN to be LED by The Holy Spirit, Rom 8:14, in PATHS of RIGHTEOUSNESS and JUSTICE, Prov 8:20, HEARING THE VOICE of JESUS, The Lord OUR SHEPHERD, Jn 10:4-5, 27.

Thank you for angels "sent forth to render service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation,” Heb 1:14, Ps 91:11-12. Keep us from temptation, Lk 11:4, sin, 2 Cor 13:7, Ps 119:2-3, wrongdoing, lies and fear, Zeph 3:13, and let us cease from sin, 1 Cor 15:34, 1 Peter 4:1-2, 1 John 3:9. Lead us not into temptation but rather deliver us from evil, Matt 6:13, and "see to it no one deceives us," Mt 24:4, for evil influences, Matt 24:12, evil people and imposters proceed from bad to worse in the last days, deceiving and being deceived, 2 Tim 3:13, keep us from those who claim to know God but by their deeds deny Him, Tit 1:16, have a form of godliness but deny it's power, in fact let us turn away from such as these, 2 Tim 3:5, again, keep us from evil people and the evil one, 2 Thes 3:2-3. We pray like Jesus, not that You take us out of the world, but rather You keep us from the evil one, John 17:15, lead us not into temptation, but rather keep us from the evil one, Matt 6:13. Grant favor as a shield, Ps 5:12, as we thank You in advance, Mk 11:24, and may the peace of God that passes comprehension guard hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:6-7, 2 in whom all the promises are yes and amen, Cor 1:20. We join you in this faithful and compassionate intercession for all who are in need of prayer and we say amen to your heart cry before the Lord. It is beautiful to stand in the gap for others and we are encouraged by your desire to see hearts healed, lives restored, and God's people revived.

We agree with you that God is the healer of the brokenhearted. As it is written in Psalm 147:3, He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds. And in Isaiah 40:29, He gives power to the faint; and to him who has no might he increases strength. We pray that those who are weary will wait upon Yahweh and renew their strength, for Isaiah 40:31 promises that those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint. We also join you in asking for the mighty help of the Holy Spirit, for Jesus promised in John 14:26 that the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you. May that rushing wind of His presence as in Acts 2:2 fill and sustain every weary soul to keep going in the work God has given them.

We echo your prayer for purity and for sins to be brought to light so they can be confessed. The Word assures us in 1 John 1:9 that if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. And we are cleansed and made right with God not by our own goodness but by the blood of Jesus, for 1 John 1:7 tells us the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son, cleanses us from all sin, and 2 Corinthians 5:21 reminds us that Him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf; so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. We pray for a discerning heart for all, to know the times and to make decisions that are pleasing to the Lord, trusting as Proverbs 3:5-6 teaches us to trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

We join you in praying for restoration of what the enemy has stolen. While Proverbs 6:31 does say if he is found, he shall restore seven times, that verse in context speaks of a thief's required restitution under the law, yet the heart of our God is indeed a God of restoration. We do not command God, but we humbly ask Him according to His will and His abundant grace, for He promises in Joel 2:25, I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten. And we know in Romans 8:28 that to those who love God, all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose. We ask the Lord to make every crooked path straight and to clear away opposition, for He says in Isaiah 45:2, I will go before you and make the rough places smooth.

We also lift up with you those who have backslidden and those in need of revival. The Lord tenderly calls in Jeremiah 3:22, Return, you backsliding children, I will heal your backsliding. We pray for that healing and return. And we cry out with Psalm 85:6, Won’t you revive us again, that your people may rejoice in you. May the Lord reveal to each person their calling and purpose, for Jeremiah 29:11 declares, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. And we pray that every mouth would be sanctified for His glory, as Psalm 141:3 says, Set a watch, Yahweh, before my mouth. Keep the door of my lips, and Ephesians 4:29 teaches, Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear.

So we pray together now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up every person who is hurting, weary, wounded, or far from You. Heal their hearts and bind up their wounds, Lord. Strengthen the faint and increase power to those who have no might. Fill them afresh with Your Holy Spirit and breathe a mighty wind of Your presence upon them to sustain them in every endeavour You have set before them. Bring to their minds, by Your Spirit, any sin that needs to be confessed, and grant them grace to repent and walk in purity and in the righteousness that is ours through Jesus. Grant them wisdom to discern the times and to make choices that honor You. We ask You, Lord, to restore what has been lost and stolen, according to Your mercy and Your promise to restore the years. Make their crooked paths straight, remove opposition, and restore to them happiness and joy in You. By the blood of Jesus, we ask You to cut off every power that has caused misery, and to deliver them from the schemes of the enemy, for we overcome by the blood of the Lamb. For any who have backslidden, draw them home and heal their wandering. Revive Your people, revive our mission and purpose, sanctify our lips and let our words give grace and life. Let Your will be done in each life, that You may be glorified. We ask all these things in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our only hope and salvation, amen.

Thank you for bringing so many needs before the Lord with such a caring heart. We are grateful for your willingness to stand in the gap for others who are weary, wounded, or trying to find their way back to Jesus.

We hear what you lifted up first, that God would heal hearts and wounds and give strength to keep going, with the help of the Holy Spirit when people are tired. We join you in that, and in asking for wisdom to make decisions that honor God, for clarity of purpose, for joy restored, and for revival among His people.

It is a beautiful thing to pray this widely, and God honors steady, faithful intercession. If it helps, you might keep a simple list of the people or groups on your heart and bring a few names before the Lord each day, so these broad prayers stay personal and sustainable over time. Growth and renewal often come gradually, like training over months rather than a single moment, as we keep walking with Him in prayer, Scripture, and fellowship.

Father, we bring before You all those who are hurting, weary, or far from You. Heal what is wounded, lift up those who are tired, give wisdom and clear direction, and draw back those who have wandered. Restore joy and hope where it has been lost and lead each one closer to Jesus. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

It is a good and scriptural thing to lay such petitions before the Lord, for He delights to hear the cries of His people for mercy and healing. Your prayer touches upon the great ill of a broken heart, and there is a great healing provided for it. He who now impels those ponderous globes through their orbits does in His mercy cheer the wounded and heal the broken in heart. We very speedily care for bodily diseases, for they urge us to seek a physician, but how much more should we care for the wounds of the soul and flee to the one Physician who can heal them. In breaking hearts God uses many instruments, repeated sermons and the pricks of conscience, for when we have fallen into sin our heart like David's heart smites us, but when your hearts were healed God only did it, and He will do it still.

I join my prayer with yours that the Lord would grant to those who are weary a mighty wind of the Holy Spirit to bear them up. If a revival be true and real it is caused by the Holy Spirit and by Him alone. In vain shall we struggle after revival unless we have His presence, and when He comes He makes deliverance effectual. We have been delivered from worse enemies than those of Israel and saved by a greater salvation, a deliverance wrought out by the Lord Jesus Christ. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, so that the least thing about Christ is healing and changes the life blood and makes the nature other than it was before.

Let us pray that the Lord will bring to mind every sin that needs confession, for nothing can make men feel so long as their hearts remain hardened against the Most High, and that hardness will bring sorrow and wrath for those who continue in iniquities. May He grant a tender conscience and a desire toward God, a will to turn to Jesus, that they may live in purity and be found in right standing through faith in Christ alone, for nobody would have thought of that way of deliverance of a sinner from the pit through a ransom if God had not thought of it, and He has found a ransom. Sinner, do not doubt your deliverance, for God has said it.

I pray also with you that the Lord would make crooked paths straight and clear away opposition, that He would recover what the enemy has sought to steal and in His sovereign mercy restore joy, not according to our commanding but according to His gracious covenant, for we have an unchanging God, an everlasting covenant, a sure mercy, and these are the things our souls delight in. May He help each one to discern the times well and to make decisions that are pleasing to Him, and to discover that lifework which is glorious to God and happy to the soul when the heart is given to Him.

For those who have backslidden, may the Lord grant them to return, for He brings forth deliverance when the Lamb was slain and by His outstretched arm alone. And for all His people, may He send a true revival, sanctify the mouth and the words spoken, and keep them in peace within His borders, delivering them from the archers that would wound the soul. May the Sun of Righteousness rise with healing beneath His wings on every soul that now sits in despair, and may all the glory be given to Free Grace alone, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
