Prayer for those who need deliverance in the mind

Dear God,

I lift up those on here who are in need deliverance from any wrong mindsets they have come into agreement with and pray Lord You cause them see themselves as Heaven thinks of them in Jesus' name

I pray against worry, fear, anxiety and discouragement, pain and slander in Jesus' name

I pray that You Lord bring emotional healing and bring them out of destructive thought patterns in Jesus' name

Lord cause them to set their minds on godly things as it is written in Philippians 4:8 - "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things." in Jesus' mighty name

Lord deliver them in the way they think of themselves and the strategy of doing things in Jesus' name

Heal their thought life and cause them to reflect on whether that thought is true or from the enemy as it is written in 2 Corinthians 10:5, "We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ" in Jesus' name

Thank You Lord for working all things out for good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose according to Romans 8:28 in Jesus' precious name.

We join with you in lifting up this heartfelt intercession and we thank God for your heart to stand in the gap for those who need deliverance in their minds. We agree with you that the battle so often begins in the thought life and that the enemy seeks to sow worry, fear, anxiety, discouragement, pain and slander, but our God is mighty to deliver and to heal.

We are encouraged by your stand on the Word of God, for Scripture calls us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. As it is written in Romans 12:2, Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. And we claim the promise in Isaiah 26:3, You will keep whoever’s mind is steadfast in perfect peace, because he trusts in you.

We also take hold of the truth that God has not given us a spirit of fear. As it says in 2 Timothy 1:7, For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. And we remember the call to bring every thought under the authority of Christ, throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ as written in 2 Corinthians 10:5. We cling to Philippians 4:8, Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things. And we rest in Romans 8:28, We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.

We pray together now in the mighty name of Jesus.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up every person who is bound by wrong mindsets, destructive thought patterns, and agreements with lies. We ask You to reveal to them how You see them, as Your beloved children, fearfully and wonderfully made, redeemed by the blood of Jesus. Lord, we come against every spirit of worry, fear, anxiety, discouragement and slander and we command those strongholds to be broken in Jesus name. Bring emotional healing where there has been wounding, rejection and pain, and renew their minds with Your truth. Teach them to test every thought, to ask whether it is true and from You or a deception from the enemy, and give them grace to take every thought captive to obey Christ. Help them to set their minds on what is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely and praiseworthy. Guard their hearts and minds with Your peace which surpasses all understanding as spoken of in Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Lord, deliver them in how they think of themselves and in the strategies they use for daily living, and cause them to walk in the freedom and sound mind You have provided. We thank You that You are working all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose. We ask all of this in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, our only Savior and our access to the Father, amen.

We encourage all who are struggling in their thought life to remain daily in the Word, to pray without ceasing, and to speak Scripture aloud over their minds. When fear or discouragement rises, turn quickly to prayer and thanksgiving and let God replace those thoughts with His truth. He is faithful to complete the healing He has begun.

We were moved by the way you prayed not just for yourself but for everyone here carrying heavy thoughts. That kind of intercession matters, and we join you in it.

We love how you named the real struggle, the way worry and fear and discouraging thoughts can settle in and start to sound true about who we are. Learning to see ourselves as God sees us is not a quick fix but a gentle retraining, noticing a thought, bringing it to Christ, and choosing to turn our attention toward what is true and good and worthy instead. It takes practice, and God is patient with us in the process.

One small way we have found helpful to walk this out is to pause when a heavy thought comes and simply ask, is this true, and what does God say is true, then bring that honestly to Him in prayer with thanksgiving, even for one small grace in the moment. Over time that habit helps loosen destructive patterns.

Father, we lift up everyone you placed on this friend's heart today. Quiet fear and bring healing to tired minds. Help each one to know how you see them, beloved and called, and to rest in your care. Teach us to take each thought to you and to dwell on what is true. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

We join with you in this prayer for deliverance in the mind, and we bring these petitions before the Lord who hears and answers according to His mercy.

There is a gracious deliverance which comes not from our own strength, for the best and bravest of the saints are poor creatures and human strength will melt away and droop and die. Deliverance is of the Lord, but He delights to accomplish it by His own power. When the guilty man is bound and ready to go down to the Pit, the great King upon the throne says to His ministers of justice, Deliver him from going down to the Pit, for the King's own Son has borne the penalty of all his iniquities. In Christ alone there is undeserved deliverance from all punishment, and He is able to save you from yourself, from all the attacks of your old sins, from the devil and from destructive thought patterns that would hold you captive.

You have prayed rightly against worry, fear, anxiety and discouragement. There is a slavish fear which trembles before God as a criminal before the judge, which keeps us away from God and dishonors His truthfulness and goodness and power. May the Lord save you from all fear of that slavish sort, and work in your heart by faith in Christ Jesus that loving fear which is the reverence of a child toward a tender Father, watching every footstep lest it grieve Him. When the heart drinks life from the heart of God and man is at one with his Maker, then all is well.

You ask for emotional healing and for the healing of the thought life. The Lord healeth the broken in heart, and there is a balm and a Physician who can give joy to the troubled countenance, take the furrow from the brow, wipe the tear from the eye and calm the heart now swelling with grief. He knows your thoughts afar off, He understands the motive from which each thought springs and whereunto it tends, and He compasses your path. His thoughts toward you are very great, more in number than the sand on the seashore, and as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are His thoughts higher than your thoughts. What hides from the human mind what that mind ought to see, the power of darkness would keep you from seeing, but He has delivered us from the power of darkness and He can deliver you from the fascinating power of sin and from every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God.

Therefore we pray that you may be renewed in strength by waiting upon the Lord, for they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. We pray that deliverance from the power of sin, which is as much the work of God as deliverance from the guilt of sin, may be yours as you look to your heavenly Father altogether and alone through Jesus Christ, by whom we are both justified and sanctified.

We pray that the Lord will enable you to take every thought captive to obey Christ, as it is written, We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ. And that you may set your mind on what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent and praiseworthy, as it is written, Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable, if anything is excellent or praiseworthy, think about such things.

Even affliction itself, when it comes, is not by chance. Troubles do not spring out of the dust, but the Lord Himself kindles the fiery furnace and sits as a Refiner at the door. That which we receive from the rod of the Lord bears the blessed aspect of chastening from a Father's hand, and this makes even the sharpest smart to be profitable. So we thank the Lord with you that He works all things together for good for those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son who bore our sins, deliver Your people from going down to the Pit, keep back their souls from perishing, heal their broken hearts, renew their strength, and cause them to see themselves as You see them in Christ, cleansed, beloved and kept. Teach them to discern whether a thought is true or from the enemy, and to walk in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free, to Your glory alone. Amen.

We join you in lifting this need before the Lord and we thank Him for your heart to intercede for others who are struggling in their thoughts.

We pray with you for deliverance of the mind. Scripture teaches that when the mind is made turbid by confusion of evil thoughts it mistakes what is before it, like a disordered eye that cannot see clearly. We ask God to clear that confusion, to destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and to help each person take every thought captive to obey Christ as it is written in 2 Corinthians 10:5. We ask Him to free those who feel captive to worry, fear, anxiety, discouragement, pain and slander, for He came to preach deliverance to captives and He has led captivity captive.

We pray for emotional healing and for freedom from destructive thought patterns. We ask the Lord to be a stronghold for those who fear Him, to guard their hearts and to work in them both to will and to work for His good pleasure. Since He is present everywhere and discerns the thoughts and intents of the heart, we can come to Him with confidence that He hears and that He will help us to stand with fear and reverence before Him and not be cast down. We pray that He will teach each one to set their minds on what is true, noble, right, pure, lovely and admirable, whatever is excellent or praiseworthy, as Philippians 4:8 instructs, and to reflect whether each thought is true and from Him.

We pray that each person would see themselves as God sees them in Christ, forgiven, loved, made new and called according to His purpose, and that they would grow in that knowledge day by day. We thank the Lord that He is working all things together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purpose, as Romans 8:28 promises, and we ask Him to bring that good to completion in every thought life lifted to Him today.

May the Lord grant clarity, peace and renewed strength to all who have been mentioned, and may He keep them in safety as they look to Him. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
