Prayer for the World

Caden202

Humble Servant of All
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you today to bring more people to the light, whether it's because of a horrible incident, or it's an uprising of Christians. We pray that more people hear about the Gospel. I pray for ###, We pray for the persecution at that country ends soon, in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.

We join with you in this beautiful and urgent prayer for the world and we rejoice to see your heart burdened for the lost and for our persecuted brothers and sisters.

Your prayer aligns with the very heart of God, for He desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth, 1 Timothy 2:4, and He is not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance, 2 Peter 3:9. We are called to be the light of the world and Jesus said you are the light of the world. A city located on a hill cannot be hidden, Matthew 5:14, and He has commanded us to Go and make disciples of all nations, Matthew 28:19, and to Go into all the world and preach the Good News to the whole creation, Mark 16:15.

We also hear your cry for the one you lifted up privately and for the country experiencing persecution. We do not know the name you redacted or the specific nation, but God knows them fully. We are reminded that indeed all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution, 2 Timothy 3:12, yet Jesus also said blessed are those who have been persecuted for righteousness sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven, Matthew 5:10. Even as we pray for persecution to end, we pray even more for strength, endurance, and bold witness for those suffering, and that their testimony would cause many more to hear and believe, for how will they believe in him whom they have not heard and how will they hear without a preacher, Romans 10:14.

We thank you for praying in the mighty name of Jesus, for there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12, and through Him alone we have access to the Father.

Let us pray together.

Heavenly Father, we come before Your throne in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord. We lift up this world that You so loved that You gave Your only Son. We ask that You use every circumstance, even horrible incidents and trials, as well as the faithful uprising and boldness of Your church, to draw many out of darkness into Your marvelous light. Lord, open doors for the Gospel where doors have been closed, send laborers into the harvest, and let Your Word run swiftly and be glorified. We lift up to You the dear one and the nation on our hearts that You know by name. Comfort those who are persecuted, protect them, provide for their needs, and give them supernatural courage to continue to proclaim Christ. We pray that the persecution would be restrained by Your sovereign hand, that authorities would come to know You, and that the blood of the martyrs would become the seed of a great harvest of souls. Strengthen us who live in greater freedom to not be silent but to pray fervently and to share the Good News with those around us. We ask all this according to Your perfect will, in the precious and powerful name of Jesus, amen.

We appreciate your heart for the world to hear the good news, and we join you in lifting this up. It encourages us to see your burden both for those who have not yet heard and for those who are paying a high price to follow Jesus, especially as you mentioned .

We are praying with you that persecution there would ease, that believers would be sustained with courage and daily provision, and that more people around them would have a clear opportunity to hear the gospel and respond. We share your hope that whether through hardship that turns hearts toward God or through a quiet uprising of faithful witness, many would come into the light.

One thing we have seen over time is that God often works through simple, personal introductions. Large gatherings and broadcasts can open a door, but most people come to faith step by step through someone they trust who will walk with them, answer questions, and show what life with Jesus looks like day to day. That is why our ordinary witness where we live and our small fellowships centered on the Word still carry so much weight for world mission.

If it helps, you might choose one or two places heavy on your heart, like , to pray for by name each day, and ask the Lord to show you one person near you this week you can encourage or introduce to Jesus in a natural way.

Father, we bring the nations before You and especially . Comfort and keep those who are persecuted, restrain those who do harm, and draw many to Yourself. Make us faithful in prayer and faithful witnesses where You have placed us. In Jesus' name, amen.

We have heard your prayer and we join our hearts with yours before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to cause the light of the glorious gospel of Christ to dawn upon many who yet sit in darkness.

Your desire that more people should hear the gospel is according to the mind of God, for it is the absolute duty as well as the eminent privilege of the Church to proclaim the gospel to the world. The gospel is in itself a glorious light, and it is in itself most plain and clear. There is nothing in it which a man may not apprehend if he desires to apprehend it, for it simply declares that Christ died for sinners and that whosoever believes in Him shall live. Our part is not to make men believe by our own power, but to testify of Christ everywhere, and to preach and proclaim the gospel to all men, trusting that His Word shall not return void but shall accomplish that which He pleases.

You also pray for those who suffer persecution, and for that land where the saints are hard pressed. We take your burden and lay it before the Lord with you. The Scripture teaches us that Israel was persecuted but not forsaken, and so it is with the Church in every age. If they have persecuted Him, they will also persecute us, and we are not to expect rest where Christ had none. Yet the Lord has promised, Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. He preserves His people even in the furnace, and often the Church has been never purer and never nearer to her Saviour than when she has been persecuted.

Therefore we pray that the Lord would in mercy cause that persecution to cease, and that He would turn the hearts of persecutors even as He turned Saul who once persecuted the church and afterwards preached the faith which he once destroyed. How quickly can God turn the most fierce persecutors into the most earnest preachers of the gospel. We ask that He would comfort every tried and afflicted believer there, that He would keep them steadfast, and that He would make their patient endurance an adornment to the gospel, showing its power and happiness to all who see it.

Let us continue to plead for those who revile and oppose, and to proclaim with confidence the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. May the Lord incline many ears to come unto Him, that He may make with them an everlasting covenant in Christ Jesus, and may He grant that even through trial and through the faithful witness of His people, multitudes may be brought from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, through salvation in Jesus Christ alone.

We will remember this burden before the Lord and ask Him to answer according to His abundant mercy, in the name of Jesus our only hope. Amen.
