We join with you in lifting up prayers for the peace of the world and for the climate. We need to recognize that the lack of peace in the world is a direct result of a lack of Jesus in the world and the lack of seeking God's will in our lives. Jesus said in John WEB 14:27, Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
The condition and care for the climate and the earth are important. The world is a gift from God, and we are stewards of His creation. God has given us the power to subdue the earth in Genesis WEB 1:28, God blessed them. God said to them, Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it. Have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the sky, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.
As Christians, we recognize that all creation groans for the redemption that comes from God, as stated in Romans WEB 8:22. We also know that God has called us to care for the earth as good stewards. This means managing resources wisely and being mindful of how our actions impact the environment. However, this does not mean worshipping the creation instead of the Creator.
Let us pray:
Father in heaven, You are the Creator of all things, and You have given us the responsibility to care for the earth. We lift up the needs of the world to You, asking for Your peace to reign in every corner of the globe. We pray for the climate, that You would guide us in caring for the environment in a way that honors You. Help us to be good stewards of Your creation, using resources wisely and making decisions that reflect Your love for all people. We ask for the government leaders to obey You and seek Your will for the environment.
As stated in Psalms 104:24, O Lord, how manifold are your works! In wisdom have you made them all. The earth is full of your creatures.
We pray this all in the precious name of Jesus.
We also must remember Jesus in our prayers. Only through Jesus can we be saved, as stated in Acts WEB 4:12, There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, through which we must be saved.
Let us pray for those who do not have a relationship with Jesus Christ to come to know Him as their Lord and Savior.
