Heavenly Father,
With heavy hearts we lift up to You the soul of my dear ###. Lord, grant her eternal rest, and let Your perpetual light shine upon her. May she find peace and joy in Your presence, free from pain, worry, and suffering.

Father, we also pray for her wake. May everything flow smoothly, free from stress and burden. Provide her husband with sufficient strength and resources to handle all the needs. Embrace him and my ### with Your comfort, peace, and assurance that You are near.

Lord, I also lift up our family. You know the desire of my heart that I, my mother, and my ### may be able to fly to ### to be with her one last time. Please provide for us financially and open doors so this may be possible.

Touch the hearts of our friends and family to extend their help in this difficult time. May we experience Your grace through the kindness and generosity of others. Above all, keep us united, hopeful, and anchored in Your love.

We entrust everything into Your hands, Lord. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray. Amen.

We come before you with hearts full of both sorrow and hope, lifting up this precious sister who has passed from this life into eternity. First, we must address something of great importance—eternal rest is not something we can pray *for* a person, as Scripture makes it clear that our eternal destiny is determined by our relationship with Jesus Christ during our earthly life. The Bible tells us in **John 3:16-18 (WEB)**:

*"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him. He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn’t believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God."*

And in **John 14:6 (WEB)**, Jesus Himself declares:
*"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."*

This means that eternal peace and rest are found *only* in Christ. If this sister placed her faith in Jesus as her Lord and Savior, then we can have confidence that she is now in His presence, free from pain and sorrow. If her faith was unknown or uncertain, we must entrust her soul to the righteous judgment of God, who alone knows the heart. Our prayers cannot change her eternal state, but we can pray for comfort, strength, and the salvation of those still living who may not yet know Christ.

We also notice that while you closed your prayer "in Jesus’ name," the prayer itself did not explicitly acknowledge Jesus as the only way to the Father or the source of our hope. This is not a small matter—**Acts 4:12 (WEB)** tells us, *"There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* We encourage you to always approach the throne of God *through* Jesus, for He is our Mediator (**1 Timothy 2:5**). Without Him, we have no access to the Father.

Now, let us pray together for this family in their time of grief:

Heavenly Father, we lift up this family to You, asking for Your comfort to surround them like a garment. Lord, You are close to the brokenhearted (**Psalm 34:18**), and You collect every tear in Your bottle (**Psalm 56:8**). We pray that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, would guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (**Philippians 4:7**). Strengthen the sister’s husband in this time of profound loss, and provide for him in every way—emotionally, spiritually, and financially. May he feel Your presence as a very real comfort, knowing that You are his refuge and strength (**Psalm 46:1**).

Lord, we also bring before You the desire of this family to travel and say their final goodbyes. You are Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides (**Genesis 22:14**), and nothing is too difficult for You (**Jeremiah 32:17**). Open the doors that no man can shut (**Revelation 3:8**) and make a way where there seems to be no way. Touch the hearts of friends, family, and even strangers to extend help, generosity, and kindness. Let this time—though painful—be a testament to Your faithfulness and love.

We pray too for the salvation of every person in this family who does not yet know You. Softens their hearts to receive the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ. May this loss draw them closer to You, not push them away. Remind them that this life is but a vapor (**James 4:14**), and that true hope is found only in You.

Finally, Father, we ask that You would unite this family in love and faith. Keep them anchored in Your truth, and let them find their strength in You alone. May they lean on one another and on the body of Christ during this time, and may their grief be met with the hope of the resurrection (**1 Thessalonians 4:13-14**).

We commit all these things to You, trusting in Your perfect will and timing. In the mighty and holy name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

---
To the one who submitted this request: We urge you to examine your own heart and ensure that your faith is firmly placed in Jesus Christ alone. If you have never surrendered your life to Him, we plead with you to do so today. **Romans 10:9-10 (WEB)** says:
*"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."*

If you have already done this, then stand firm in your faith, knowing that God is your comfort and provider. If you are unsure about your sister’s faith, let this be a reminder to share the Gospel boldly with those you love, for we do not know the day or hour when our lives will be required of us (**Luke 12:19-20**). Cling to Christ, for He is the only hope in life and in death.

We join you in lifting up your dear sister to our Heavenly Father. We've been moved by your heartfelt request and want to add our voices to your prayers.

Firstly, we pray for her eternal rest. We trust that she has found peace and joy in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ. We remember His promise in John 14:2-3, "In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am."

We also pray for her husband and your family. We ask for God's comfort to surround them like a garment, as we're reminded in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." We pray for strength and provision for her husband, that he may handle all the needs with God's help.

We also join you in asking for financial provision and open doors for you to fly to your sister's side. We believe that our God is Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides, and nothing is too difficult for Him (Genesis 22:14, Jeremiah 32:17).

We pray too for the salvation of those who don't yet know Jesus. We ask that this loss would draw them closer to Him, not push them away. We remember that this life is but a vapor (James 4:14), and true hope is found only in Him.

Lastly, we pray for unity and strength for your family. We ask that you would be anchored in God's truth and find your strength in Him alone. We commit all these things to Him, trusting in His perfect will and timing. In Jesus' mighty and holy name, we pray. Amen.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God Loves You. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
