Prayer for students and spiritual attack

We hear your burden for these students and we stand with you in prayer against the spiritual attack you are discerning over this class. We know that weariness and a spirit of defiance can quickly spread and weigh heavily on both students and teachers, and we do not take lightly the reality of spiritual opposition in the classroom.

Scripture reminds us that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12. For this reason we are called to put on the whole armor of God that we may be able to stand Ephesians 6:11, and we remember that the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds 2 Corinthians 10:4. We also take comfort that greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4, so we do not need to fear this attack but to submit ourselves to God and resist the devil and he will flee from us James 4:7.

We also noticed that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently remind you how vital this is. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard, for Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If we have not already placed our faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, we urge you to do so today, for in His name we have authority over every spirit of defiance and weariness.

We now join together and pray for you and for each student whose name was redacted. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We lift up this class to You and ask for Your protection and Your peace to reign there. We rebuke the spirits of defiance and weariness in the name of Jesus and command them to leave this classroom and these students. We ask You to replace defiance with a spirit of obedience, respect, and a teachable heart, and to replace weariness with Your strength and renewal. You give power to the weak and You increase the strength of him who has no might Isaiah 40:29, and those who wait for You will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint Isaiah 40:31. Lord, let these students not grow weary in doing good Galatians 6:9, but let them experience Your joy and Your rest. Fill the classroom with Your Holy Spirit, with order, with love, and with a hunger for truth. Give the teacher wisdom, patience, endurance, and discernment to shepherd these young hearts with both grace and firm biblical discipline. Let Your will be done in each life, and let this attack be turned into a testimony of Your power and deliverance. We pray all of this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

We encourage you to continue to stand firm, to cover this class daily in prayer, and to clothe yourself in the armor of God described in Ephesians 6:10-18, especially the shield of faith and the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God. Speak truth in love over these students, set clear and loving boundaries, and model the rest and peace that comes from trusting Christ. Remember that the Lord is near to all who call on Him in truth Psalm 145:18, and He will give you wisdom as you ask for it. Keep praying by name for each student, that God would draw them to Himself, soften any hardened hearts, and lift every burden of exhaustion.

We noticed your heart for these students right away and we are standing with you in prayer. When defiance and weariness settle over a whole room it can feel heavy and discouraging, especially when you are trying to teach and care for each student well. It makes sense you would name what you are seeing in spiritual terms and bring it to the Lord.

We appreciate you not carrying this alone. One steady step that has helped other teachers and leaders is to invite one or two trusted believers to pray regularly with you for the class by name and for the atmosphere in the room. A brief, quiet prayer before class begins and a short moment afterward to thank God can help keep your own heart anchored day by day, without putting all the weight on one dramatic experience. Staying connected to community and keeping simple rhythms of rest, prayer, and fellowship for yourself also matters when weariness is pressing in.

Thank you for interceding so faithfully for these young people. We are joining you in asking for wisdom and strength for you and for grace to rest on each student.

Father, we lift this class to You and each student You know by name. We ask for Your peace to guard their hearts and minds, for weariness to lift and for respectful, teachable spirits to grow. Give their teacher wisdom, patience and renewed strength each day, and make the classroom a place of calm and learning. Draw each one closer to Yourself in the days ahead. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about. God, please forever honor this prayer over each of our lives. God Thank You. Amen, so be it by faith, and by faith, it is so. Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have taken your request to heart and we join you in prayer for this class and for each student named before the Lord, and for the many others with them.

You have rightly discerned the nature of the assault. Weariness and faintness are common to all Christian service, and hard work it is to teach and to learn. There comes at times a soul weariness which would make us think the work less important or fear that it will prove an utter failure. And there is also that spirit of defiance which once made strong men tremble, when the heart is abashed and cast down. These are not strange things, but they are real attacks of the enemy.

Remember how the archers sorely grieved Joseph and shot at him and hated him. So the masters of arrows still shoot at the people of God, and it may seem cowardly and cruel, yet the promise remains that his bow abode in strength and the arms of his hands were made strong by the mighty power of the God of Jacob. Let the foes of the church expect a hard struggle when they attack an heir of life, for the Lord Himself is the shield of His people. He does not leave His servants to fight alone.

Therefore let us pray that you and these students shall wait upon the Lord and renew your strength, that you shall mount up with wings as eagles and forget your weariness and be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. We pray that the Lord would rebuke that spirit of defiance and bring instead a spirit of quiet obedience and teachableness, and that weariness would be lifted by His grace.

We pray also after the manner of the true Student's prayer, Make me to understand the way of Your precepts. May each student in this class become a student in the school of Christ, a disciple and scholar of His Word. May faith and hope be learned first, even in the infant class, and may election and all the deeper truths be opened in due time as they grow wise unto salvation. Prayer is to study what fire is to the sacrifice, and we ask the Lord to kindle that fire among you.

Let us pray together. O Lord God of Jacob, who strengthens the weak hands and sustains the weary heart, look upon this class. Guard these students from the arrows of the enemy. Take away defiance and heaviness and clothe them with a willing mind to hear and receive Your truth. Strengthen the teacher not to grow weary in well doing, for in due season we shall reap if we faint not. Grant to all a rejoicing hope in Jesus Christ, that even on a bed of weariness they may rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory. Keep them abiding in Christ, their bow abiding in strength, through Jesus Christ our Lord, in whom alone is salvation. Amen.
