Please join me in prayers towards my dad he felt an spiritual attack

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Please join me in prayers for my dad, he woke up this morning feeling overwhelmed because he felt like something bad would happen, for sure that's an spiritual attack, but last night he had an event from his job, but it was a presentation that was out of place, from the marketing coaches from Mexico, they made a presentation praising the death, using the coco movie, mixed the diagnostic of the business with their believes, that business is not related at all with that is a furniture business or maybe the owners changed. But this morning my dad woke up with that heaviness, I always told him put everything in God's hands, pray for him to strengthen his spirit and his faith and we put in God's hands the change that the owners did or changed their believes. Also my dad is kinda sad because my grandpa passed away about one year ago will be the October 19th. Jesus help my dad's burden heart and strengthen his mind. We know we are in your hands, I trust you Lord. In Jesus name I pray amen.

We join you in lifting up your dad before the Lord and we thank you for your discernment in recognizing this heaviness for what it is and for pointing your father to put everything in God's hands. What your dad experienced after that presentation is understandable, because when beliefs that praise death are brought into a workplace, especially mixed with business matters where they do not belong, it can leave a spiritual oppression and heaviness on a sensitive heart. The Word tells us that our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places Ephesians 6:12, so we do not take these feelings lightly. At the same time we take great comfort that greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world 1 John 4:4 and that God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control 2 Timothy 1:7.

We want to gently remind your dad that death is not something to be praised or celebrated. Scripture says the last enemy that will be abolished is death 1 Corinthians 15:26 and that Jesus came to bring life and to deliver us from the fear of death. Our God is not the God of the dead, but of the living, and Jesus said I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will still live, even if he dies John 11:25. Traditions like those portrayed in the Coco movie that honor or praise death may be cultural, but they are contrary to the hope we have in Christ who conquered death through His own death and resurrection Hebrews 2:14. Your dad was right to feel out of place, and we encourage him to guard his heart and mind and not receive those beliefs into his spirit, but to resist the devil and he will flee from you James 4:7.

We also hear your dad's sadness as the anniversary of your grandpa's passing approaches on October 19th. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18 and He promises to wipe away every tear from their eyes and that death will be no more, neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain any more Revelation 21:4. Grief mixed with spiritual heaviness can make that overwhelming feeling that something bad will happen feel even stronger, but God invites us to cast all our anxiety on him, because he cares for us 1 Peter 5:7 and to not be anxious in anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let our requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and our thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.

We encourage your dad to continue to put on the whole armor of God that he may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil Ephesians 6:11 each morning through prayer and the Word, to speak truth out loud against fear, and to remember that when his heart is overwhelmed, God will lead him to the rock that is higher than he Psalm 61:2. We also join you in committing that business and its owners into God's hands, whether they have changed or their beliefs have changed, that the Lord would open their eyes to truth and that no weapon formed against your dad or his work will prosper.

We pray together now for him. Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we are saved and have access to Your throne. We lift up this dear father to You and ask that You lift this heaviness and overwhelm from him. We rebuke the spirit of fear and dread that tells him something bad will happen, and we declare Your perfect love which casts out fear. Strengthen his spirit and renew his mind, Lord, and let him feel Your presence as his refuge and strength. Comfort him in his grief for his own father, heal his burdened heart, and remind him that his loved one who knew You is in Your hands and that Your promises are true. Guard his workplace, cleanse the atmosphere of any praise of death, and let Your life and light reign there. Establish Your peace over his sleep, his waking, and his thoughts, for You have said fear not, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness Isaiah 41:10. Fill him with faith and joy in believing, and let him know that nothing can separate us from Your love in Christ Jesus Romans 8:38-39. We trust him fully into Your hands and thank You for answering. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We are keeping you and your ### in our prayers after reading your message. It makes sense he would wake up feeling heavy after an evening that felt so out of place at work, and with the anniversary of your ###'s passing coming up on ###. Both can weigh on the heart and mind, and we hear how much you love your ### and want him to feel steadier and more at peace.

We appreciate how you have been encouraging him to place everything in God's hands. Continuing to sit with him, listen without rushing to fix, and praying together in simple words can be a steady comfort. It can also help to give words to the grief that resurfaces around this time of year, sharing memories of your ### together and allowing sadness to be spoken about openly.

If that sense of being overwhelmed stays heavy or makes daily life harder, it can help to talk with a trusted pastor or counselor alongside prayer, so he has ongoing support.

Father, we lift this ### to You. You see his burdened heart and the uneasiness he felt this morning. Draw near to him, calm his thoughts, strengthen his faith, and remind him he is held in Your hands. Give this family Your peace and wisdom in the days ahead. In Jesus' name, amen.

Your burden for your father has been heard and we join our prayers with yours before the throne of grace.

You have done well to put all in God's hands, for there is no other safe place for a troubled heart. Our Lord said to His disciples, Let not your heart be troubled, and yet He also said, In the world ye shall have tribulation. Both are true. Your father greatly rejoices in Christ and yet for a season, if need be, he is in heaviness through manifold temptations. This is not strange, nor does it prove that faith has failed. As we have often taught, there may be great rejoicing and yet a temporary heaviness in the same heart, and that heaviness is but for a season.

That heaviness which came upon him in the morning, that sense that something bad would happen, is a burden which unfits a man to meet his daily calling. The very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits us to meet that difficulty. You have a Father in Heaven, and it dishonors His holy name to live as an orphan child afraid it will not be fed. Your father is not an orphan. Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is our Father and our Saviour's Father, the object of our gratitude and not of our dread. The Father Himself loves you, and His love is in all respects equal to the love of the Son. He is the orphans Father, and He is a better Father than the best of fathers could ever be to the best beloved of sons. To say Abba, Father is to utter music that cherubim cannot reach, for there is all we need in that word.

We pray that your father will be enabled to cast his whole burden upon that Father, and to say from the heart, Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Thy sight. Whether it be the strange dealings of his employers, who have mingled their business with a praising of death and with notions drawn from dark imaginations such as you describe, or whether it be the sorrow that still lingers as the anniversary of your grandfather's departure draws near on the nineteenth of October, all is known to the Father and all is in His hands. Death is not to be praised, for death is the last enemy, and Christ alone has conquered it by His cross and resurrection. Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and He alone gives life. We do not ask God to bless that which praises death, but we ask Him to keep your father's heart from its influence, to guard his mind, and to give him discernment to turn from every way that does not honor the Lord. Let him serve the Lord with all his heart and soul where God has placed him, and leave results with Him.

There are heart wounds which no business and no philosophy can heal. A wounded spirit who can bear, for no pain of the flesh can equal heaviness of heart. But there is a heavenly healing and an honored Healer. Jesus Christ binds up the brokenhearted. If your father's heart is bleeding, let him bring it to the bleeding heart of Jesus, for that will staunch its wound. God says, A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you. No man can create this in himself, for the heart is the motive power of all life, but God can take away the stony heart and give a heart of flesh. Let your father often look to the foundation of his faith, to see whether he has indeed believed in Jesus and has in his heart the true life which grows out of such faith. If he cries for a new heart and a right spirit, that very cry is evidence that God is already at work within him.

Therefore we pray with you, in the name of Jesus who alone is our hope.

O blessed God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, look in mercy upon this Thy servant. Thou knowest his heaviness, his overwhelming thoughts in the morning, his sadness as he remembers his own father, and the confusion cast before him by those who praise death. Lift Thou the burden from his heart and strengthen his mind. Give him a new heart and a right spirit, wash him in the blood of Christ and make him clean. Teach him to say, Even so, Father, and to trust Thee as a child trusts his father, leaving all his unknown future in Thy hands. Let not his heart be troubled, but let him greatly rejoice in the hope laid up for him, knowing that this heaviness is but for a season and that Thy joy shall sweep away the mill dam of his grief. Keep him from all evil, establish him in faith, and let him find mercy in Thee, in whom the fatherless find mercy. We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who is our only salvation. Amen.
